Explore Rarotonga from the comfort of an air-conditioned coach as our experienced, local guide takes you on a fascinating 3 hour sightseeing tour. You will travel along the ancient Ara Metua or "Road of Toi" built in 1050 AD and visit ancient marae (ceremonial sites), inland villages and plantations and the historical Avana point. This tour is a must do as soon as you arrive on the island, it is the perfect introduction to the islands' rich culture, legends and history. Light refreshments included.
Important Note: We are unable to accommodate bookings made directly by clients arriving from cruise ships. If you are a cruise passenger, please request your booking through your ship’s Shore Excursions Department or Guest Services.

Black Rock Beach
Black Rock a volcanic boulder on the edge of the lagoon, traditionally believed to be the departure point of spirits to Avaiki (the afterlife).
Avana Point
Garden of the Seven Canoes The departure of the flotilla of seven canoes from Avana passage on their epic voyage to New Zealand in 1350AD marked the end of the great Polynesian migration. The voyage is commemorated by a circular formation of stones known as the Garden of Seven Stones.

5.00It was a fun adventure, and it was in a bus.In case it would rain outside.I've seen other companies that you sit in the back of the truck now.Protect it.And it was raining when we went.So we were happy, it was dry.

5.00Excellent tour, lot's of information. As there were only 3 of us it was really personal and our guide was very knowledgeable. Worth doing as a first timer to Rarotonga to get familiar with what is around.

3.00We did the 3-hour Rarotonga tour as a family (including my mother-in-law), and while it was pleasant enough, it didn’t quite deliver the value we were hoping for. The host was friendly and easy to get along with, but we found the overall experience a bit lacking in depth. We often stopped at places without much explanation or context, which meant we didn’t really come away feeling like we’d learned much about the island. Lunch was fine — nothing special, but the fresh fruit was definitely a highlight. For us, the main value of a guided tour is the knowledge and insights you gain, and unfortunately that’s where this one fell short. Given the cost, it’s hard not to compare it to simply hiring a car for a week and exploring independently. Overall, a nice enough outing, but not something we felt was worth the money.

4.004 stops to get off the bus. 1 nice "lunch" with fruits and yummy date scones. Short time on inland roads, very interesting. More time on ring road which you could also do on the public bus. Good commentary, sometimes with a dry sense of humour. Maybe a touch overpriced. Confirmation of tour received 5 minutes before the bus turned up for pick-up. 4 people were no-shows, possibly because they couldn’t get in touch with anyone for four days over Easter. Not very professional for a tour company.
Thoroughly enjoyed the tour, would do it again.

5.00My wife & I found the experience to be very informative & the driver/narrator provided us with a great history of the Cook Islands. We appreciated his insight & humour along with Marie(sorry of if I misspelled her name) from your booking office. We arrived here yesterday & found taking the trip now gave us some good ideas of places we could go back on ourselves during the rest of our stay. We are spending 11 days here as part of our 55th wedding anniversary and could not have picked a better place in the world to do so. Cheers Andy & Pat Harasemchuk Canada
