Aoraki Mount Cook National Park (Te Wahipounamu)

Aoraki Mount Cook is New Zealands highest peak at 3,724m with Mount Tasman being the second highest peak at 3,497m. After your Snow Landing and viewing of the Fox Glacier you will get a up and close personal view of Aoraki Mount Cook and Mount Tasman. During the flight you will also see the Balfour and La Perouse Glaciers that are connected to both Mountains. After seeing Mount Cook and Mount Tasman you will make your way back down the Fox Glacier to the point of departure.

Fox Glacier

Fox Glacier is one of New Zealands largest glaciers at 13km long, a favourite for most local New Zealanders. From the point of departure you will fly up the Fox Glacier to see everything it has to offer from its Large scale ice features and deep crevasses to its alpine huts and beautiful waterfalls. After viewing the Fox Glacier you will experience a snow landing and a view of Mount Cook.

We LOVED this tour. The view of the mountains was breathtaking! The pilot did a good job of pointing things out. When we landed on the snow, he made a point of making sure we got good photos and an unobstructed view. For the trip back down, he switched everyone's seats around so you got a different view. I highly recommend doing this tour. The only reason this isn't a 4 star review is because of the front office staff. She was incredibly difficult to work with. She was clearly very nervous about the weather (wasn't sure we'd be able to go). She kept telling us to calm down (we were calm), the never managed to directly answer any questions we had. She told us to come 2 hours early because she might be able to get us on an earlier flight (she later admitted that an earlier flight wasn't ever a possibility). We just found her very hard to deal with. Fortunately the pilot and the tour more than made up for her shortcomings.

The people who own and run the business are absolutely wonderful. So happy to give you ask the information you need and just have a chat. We dropped in and asked about a flight and were able to get one within thirty minutes. Due to weather conditions, no payment until confirmation that flight could go ahead. The pilot was great and gave commentary throughout. Amazing views over the whole place including glacier, Mt Cook and Mt Tasman. Highly recommend them to everyone.

From my first contact to after the flight, they did everything they could to make my trip great. Family team, who really believe in putting the customer first. The pilot Mike knowledge of the glaciers was incredible and the personal touches made it a trip to remember
