Get the cameras ready for one of the best glacier experiences in New Zealand. Climb up the Franz Josef Glacier, crossing the main divide at Centennial Hut to land on New Zealand’s longest glacier, the Tasman Glacier.

Take in breath-taking views of Mount Tasman and Aoraki Mount Cook, rich with uninterrupted scenery you have to see to believe. Then hop back onboard, cross back over Climber Col Pass and enjoy the spectacular views of Franz Josef Glacier before arriving back at Franz Josef Heliport.

Great thrill to be up in the chopper on a perfect day. Visibility was excellent, all staff friendly and efficient, communications very clear.

It was an outstanding experience. I did not know what to expect and the helicopter flight, takeoff and landing were very smooth. Our pilot was friendly and knowledgeable and gave us time to enjoy our surroundings when we landed on the snow. The staff on the ground were also helpful and friendly.

Flight path had to be changed so we ended up landing in a different spot. Got to see both Franz Josef and Fox Glacier - beautiful scenery and great flight! Will be super memorable as my partner and I got engaged at the top! :) thanks to the team for the magical experience!
