4.0Overall, we enjoyed this cruise and tours of the various locations with our guide Mahmoud who was great about sharing key highlights and always happy to provide more context and point out additional details when asked. We were lucky to get to do 100% of the activities listed in the itinerary. But with so many sights to cover, we were up before 4 am most days and it did feel very rushed -- there's just not enough time in any of the temples we visited. We were glad we opted to stay longer in Luxor to see some of the sights that were not part of the tour. The boat we were on (King of Thebes) was mid-range but it met our basic needs (we didn't spend much time in our rooms). I was relieved to find that there were plenty of vegetarian food options on board. There are indeed some surprising aspects (like the shopping stops) but we had read the reviews so this didn't come as a surprise to us.

5.0We had a great time cruising on the Nile River from Aswan to Luxor, and visiting all temples. The trip was coordinated by Ahmed Shawky Ali, who did a great job with explaining the itinerary in advance and on each day. Ahmed is knowledgeable about the history.
