Amazing experience, Santos and Alex went above and beyond for us to feel comfortable and they made sure we got there safely. They shared tips and safety measures in order to enjoy this experience. I had terrible altitude sickness and struggled a bit during the hike but they were incredibly patient with me and encouraged me to keep going. I am incredibly grateful for them. Amazing experience, would do it again.

Rent hiking shoes and sticks. I recommend the headlamp as well if you plan to go to fuego or do the morning summit. There’s the $15 entrance fee than additional $250 Q per person to do fuego. Bring lots of snacks and water!

The group sizes are not small as advertised. We had ~40 people total and 10 sleeping in each cabin. They said we were in different "groups" but we all left together, stayed in the same camp, and slept in the same cabins. The food was crappy and small portions. The guides were nice and fun, but were very unorganized and not helpful. The cabins in the photos are much much nicer than what is actually offered. They crammed 10 people in a dirty cabin with a door that only had latches, no doorknob, so we couldn't close it from the inside without locking others out. The experience wasn't bad, but I would never book with these people again. You can book a much better experience for much less money in person in Antigua.

It's very hard, but it's definitely worth the climb. I would recommend to do the sunrise walk and stay further at basecamp. You can see just as much of El fuego from basecamp and the walk there is really super hard. Furthermore, I would like to say that you are with a lot of people. You regularly walk in a procession of people. There's a lot of garbage there, too.

The experience is great, the ascension is pretty hard, but the view is worth it. The volcano is amazing. The fees seem appropriate. The information about the renting equipment (and fees) should be shared way in advance so people could knowingly plan their trip, by either buying equipment and carrying it in their luggage, or rely on the renting, or a mix of both. Everything is available to rent. Plan carefully, you need proper equipment, and that takes space. The ascension is mostly steep, and rather slippery, and goes through a variety of climate and weather. Layers, layers, layers. And water protection. Getting wet is the worse that can happen to you. Also the night is cold (under or around freezing point), and the feet will be the most underprotected part : think of them. Now to the negative part : The length of the trip is overshadowed by considerable mishaps in the organization and efficiency surrounding the arrival and the departure. There is a lot of useless waiting around those, that make the announced schedule totally off. Don't share a schedule if you are not able to follow it accurately, or disclose that it is purely "indicative". The delays were counted in hours, not minutes. Besides that, no complaints at all in terms of the organization (communication, information, meals, overall mood, pace, respect of everyone's limits), which makes the experience an overall good one. The sub-group size (11/12) is also a good size. Moreover, there should be more warning said about the altitude sickness and how to prepare for it in advance of the trip, since it requires proper medecine and acclimatation over days. We had to find it all by ourselves. The headache you get at some point might be the first sign of it, and not just exhaustion. However, the staff is definitely experimented. They are not babysitters tho. You cary your stuff, and your meals (included with the trip), and your garbage up, and back down. It is sad to see on the mountain that many don't care about the littering. In conclusion, as a 35 y.o. asthmatic man with no intense training or heavy preparation, but a fairly good cardio, it was manageable but very challenging. One step at a time, lots of breaks, lots of water. It's not a race. I was not able to do the extra hike for the summit at sunrise, but the view at the base camp was already more than enough to not regret it. I had to respect my limits. Best for : getting to experience an insane cocktail of natural phenomenons (rainstorm, thunder, hail, starry night, spectacular volcano eruptions, lava glow, rainbows, fog, above clouds sunrise and sunsets).

An unforgettable experience full of adventure and great company. Tour guides Miguel and Carlos were super kind and very honest about what we should expect of the journey (knowing it was physically demanding from the very beginning helped us be prepared). Views at the base camp were great and all meals were provided as described. Things that would make the experience even better: • A better toilet - even having sawdust for after every use would help. • Better residue and trash management at base camp, as well as more frequent cleaning service for cabins (mattresses, sleeping bags, etc). • Improved logistics for renting/picking up equipment Beyond that, all people involved in the tour was thoughtful and took care of the group's needs very diligently.

They changed location last minute so I ran to the new one and they left without me. I tried to get a refund but they wouldn’t give me one and they literally messaged me and said “Thank you for your money” Avoid this company like the plague if you don’t want to be scammed

This was a once in a lifetime experience. It is so much harder then you think. I went out of season and it was still beautiful, if cloudy. That bring said, you really get out of this what you put in and the people you are with can make a huge difference, especially if someone can not physically do the hike. Additionally, since multiple people in our group forgot, this does not include the 100Q hiking permit fee!

Luiz and Xavier were really nice and patient tour guides and pushed us up to base camp, acatenango and fuego. Food was good (you can choose a vegetarian option). The rental material (clothes) were also in a good shape although I hoped to have a thicker jacket. The sleeping cabins are basic but shield you from the changing weather up there. The sleeping bags were warm. With 4 layers I felt warm the whole night. The only real complaint I have is about communication. The tour information was given less than 24h prior to the meeting time. Questions asked prior via whatsapp, email or trip advisor were not answered. At no point during the tour the time schedule was discussed. For example when the hike to fuego will start (we found out at the top we had like a 30min break before we left). Not sure how other tour operators handle this
