In our small group of five, he guided us with the elegance of a poet and the insight of a scholar, weaving stories that gave voice to the stones, the gardens, and the silent arches that have witnessed centuries of devotion and artistry. Every word he shared carried purpose and reverence. Abu Bakr revealed the Alhambra’s hidden soul — details, symbols, and meanings that no book or plaque could ever express. His love for this sacred place and for the spirit of Islam was radiant, wrapping us in a sense of peace and connection that felt almost divine.
