I have a great knowledge of Algarve surf spots and with 27 years of surf experience, plus Im a quality coach level II of the Portuguese Surf Federation and the school is certified with all the insurances.
My passion and love of teaching will help you to get better and start enjoying even more surfing.

Surf isn’t the easiest sport and having a good coach will help you to reach your goals and will help to correct the normal mistakes before they end up in a bad technique and bad muscle memory.

5.00Duarte is a phenomenal coach who is passionate about all things surfing. He is totally engaged in everything he is saying, teaching and showing. In one day my wife and I went from basically 0 surf experience to riding dozens of waves, with a little help of course. What we learned in a few hours from Duarte has got us both hooked. We will keep surfing, keep learning, and we will for sure be back to the Algarves for more lessons with Neptunos Surf School!

5.00Me and my daughter had private lessons with Duarte for the 4th time. The reason for it is very simple: he is the best 😊 Honestly - if you really want to learn surfing and if you want to improve you will get feedback on every wave you catch (or don’t catch 😉) and he will help you catching many waves in order to help you to build up routine. I would recommend Duarte strongly for both, absolute beginners and “professional beginners” 😊

5.00Our family had a great time learning to surf with Duarte! Our family of 5 had a private lesson with him and we had a wonderful day! He was very good at teaching us the basic skills and was also very concerned with safety. We all increased our ability this day and we are so glad we went! We would recommend Duarte and Neptunos to everybody!

5.00Amazing experience. After one lesson you will fall in love with this beautiful sport, Duarte is the best instructor ever, he is a professional, very experienced, with endless patience and profound knowledge of what he is doing. Felt super safe during the lesson, can’t wait for the next one.

5.00This was by far the best surfing training I‘ve ever had. Duarte is absolutely committed to both - surfing and teaching. And he never gives you up :-) So after so many surf lessons I had before this time I really improved. I even strongly recommend investing in private lessons for one or two people. It is absolutely worth it.

5.00We had a great time with Duarte! He is an amazing coach who goes all the way to make you surf. The beach who took us is is beautiful. Just to be there and feel the vibes is great. Duarte took just enough time for theory and then we went in the water. He picked out the waves for everyone in our group and gave us advice all the time. He was relaxed and at the same time professionaly involved. I strongly recommend Duarte’s surf school and will definitely go back.
