Badaling Great Wall is known as one of the nine fortresses in the world. Its scenery is majestic, steep, beautiful and verdant. It is the essence of the scenery of the Ming Great Wall. "If you don't go to the Great Wall, you are not a hero." Many Chinese people choose this place as the main choice for climbing the Great Wall.

The Badaling Great Wall Pass is a trapezoidal shape with narrow east and wide west, with two east and west gates. The east gate is inscribed with "Juyongwai Town" and the west gate is inscribed with "North Gate Lock Key". The Great Wall extending northward from the pass is the North Great Wall, with 12 watchtowers. South of the pass is the South Great Wall, with 7 watchtowers. The number of tourists at the South Great Wall is less than that at the North Great Wall. If you have enough time, you can go to the South Great Wall first and then the North Great Wall.

In addition to climbing the Great Wall at the pass, there are also entrances to the city on the South 4th Floor, North 4th Floor, North 8th Floor and North 11th Floor, all of which can climb the Great Wall.

Among them, the North 8th Floor is the highest watchtower of the Badaling Great Wall, also known as the "Sun Viewing Platform". It is more than 1,500 meters away from Guancheng, and it is a good place to overlook the Great Wall.

Take the cable car

There are also cable cars on the 4th floor of the south and the 8th floor of the north. Tourists who don't want to walk can take the cable car directly to the enemy tower, and then take the cable car back after the tour. It can save energy and have fun.

Surrounding catering

The Badaling Great Wall Scenic Area has a commercial pedestrian street. If you are tired of climbing the Great Wall, you can rest and eat here after going down the mountain. In addition to the high-end Badaling Hotel (foreign-related hotel), there are also old Beijing-style restaurants such as Zhajiangmian, Goubuli, and Dumpling House, as well as fast food such as Subway and Yonghe Soy Milk, which can be selected as needed. After eating and drinking, if you still have energy, you may wish to visit the nearby Zhan Tianyou Memorial Hall and the China Great Wall Museum.
