Morning tickets pre-sunset include festive holiday fun! Celebrate in vintage style with Santa, classic movies, timeless activities, and family-friendly surprises. Kids ride free with every adult ticket during the first two hours of the day.
Nightrise (Nov 22, 2025 – Mar 29, 2026):
Tickets during sunset hours include Nightrise (timing depends on the day’s sunset). Experience Sulphur Mountain transformed with storytelling, art, and sound in collaboration with the Stoney Nakoda Nation. Explore the Four Wonders and see the summit in a whole new light.

5.00It’s a short ride up the mountain but worth every penny. There are a number of viewing platforms at the top of the gondola which are fab. If you have the time have a meal at the sky bistro after - great food and lovely atmosphere. Cocktails nice too!

5.00Breathtaking views on the gondola trip up the mountain that were only surpassed by the stunning three levels at the top. Get your dose of snow and scenery from the rooftop viewing area and then grab a hot chocolate from the bottom level near the gift shop to relax before the trip back down.

5.00It’s a bit pricy, but it’s worth it. The reason for that is that it includes a very nice boardwalk and activities at night, and the whole area, including the boardwalk, lightens up at night.

5.00Most amazing experience. Less scary on the gondola than expected, despite the height. Too busy looking everywhere! Stunning scenery. Lots of activities at the top too, especially for family - board walk, interactive displays, movie, marshmallow toasting on the top of the world... Various eateries.

5.00The Banff Gondola is absolutely worth it! The ride up is smooth and stunning, giving you unreal views of the Rockies before you even reach the top. Once you’re at the summit, it’s a full experience — sweeping 360° mountain views, warm indoor lookout areas, a boardwalk with photo ops at every turn, and cozy spots to grab a drink or bite. Whether you go in winter or summer, it feels magical. Winter gives you that snow-globe vibe, and the mountaintop building is beautifully decorated with lights and fireplaces that make it feel like a little mountain lodge in the sky. If you go: ✔️ Book ahead ✔️ Plan 2–2.5 hours ✔️ Bring warm layers (it’s always colder at the top!) ✔️ Make time for photos — the views are unreal We loved it and would 100% do it again. Perfect for couples, families, and anyone who wants that “wow” moment in Banff.

4.00We took the gondola to the top, walked around the boardwalk - boardwalk has great spots to take photos of the town and the observation deck is also pretty amazing and overall the boardwalk or observation deck is great for sunset photos. Great views and good spot for family visits - boardwalk is reasonable - has a few stairs, but a good spot for beautiful views. Takes about 1.5-2hrs at the spot if you stop and take photos. Tickets are expensive, around 93/person - so a bit more on the expensive side.

5.00A wonderful experience all around! Booking ahead was the right move. We got there early and before the crowds. We really enjoyed the hike up to Sulphur Mountain, it’s a view like no other!
