Golden hour hits new heights. From June 27 to September 1, 2025, Sunset Festival transforms Sulphur Mountain into Banff’s highest outdoor celebration — admission included with your Gondola ticket.

5.00Wear good winter foot wear as some area were slippery , and gloves are helpful. The views were spectacular , and walking all the way to the weather shed is a must !

5.00If you’re afraid of heights maybe reconsider 😅 if not the view of the mountains going up is breathtaking!! This was my first solo trip to Banff, and is one of my favourite experiences so far. And the view from the top.. speechless. Dress warm and enjoy the majestic mountains!

5.00Bought a ticket for the Gondola at the admission desk. I was on the first one At 10 am. Not many people queing, girl Was taking photos if you wanted them doing. As it was halloween staff were dressed up. Boarded the gondola and off I went up to An elevation of 2,281m (7486ft) absolutely Amazing. Stunning scenery. When I got to the top I took the lift to the observation deck. There is a wooden boardwalk up to Sulphur Mountain. Becareful It can be icy. Fire pits with chairs and a hot drink bought From the cafe made it a wondeful experience Absorbing this beautiful scenery. There is also a gift shop at the top and when You come down. Any photos can be viewed here. The Gondola trip was the highlight of my holiday. Definitely recommend this.

3.00The gondola ride was fun, lots of wonderful views from above the town of Banff. However, when it was time for us to descend, the employee in the gift shop did not tell us the correct way to exit the building to get back on the gondola for the ride down. She told us to go outside of the gift shop to catch the gondola cars. That was incorrect. We eventually discovered on our own the correct way to exit.

5.00Just been at the beginning of November. Had already booked but f we hadn't, it was quiet and you could buy once there. The view is breathtaking, the Gondola ride is smooth and the hot chocolate was the best! Very lucky having the snow

5.00We had a wonderful experience on this trip. Do NOT miss booking this ride of a lifetime. The majestic mountains are all around you!! You can’t help but think you are close to Heaven. Very well worth every penny!!

5.00This experience is truly worth it. The sights from the gondola journey and on the sulphur mountain were truly amazing. I had to reschedule my timing to a later part of the day. JR helped me out and it was sorted out quickly.

5.00Fun! It was Halloween so we got candy at every turn! Everyone was happy and helpful and dressed in costume.
