During our 32 years on Sydney Harbour, we know all the top spots to visit. We can explore many different locations depending on the conditions and we will do it in style by using beautiful Australian made lightweight double sea kayaks (made by Mirage Sea Kayaks).
On our paddle, it is more enjoyable that we cruise at a leisurely pace, therefore you will only need a moderate level of fitness.
You will need to be at least an intermediate or experienced kayaker.
We do not recommend this tour for beginner paddlers.
Tour starts at 7am and returns at 9.30am including a beautiful breakfast at our famous 'KAYAK Cafe'
Sydney Harbour Kayaks are a member of the Tourism NSW Hall of Fame

Depending on the conditions we will set-up up the mandatory photo in front of our famous Sydney Harbour Bridge, Opera House and Luna Park. We will then explore several of the main bays in this very special area.

5.00We enjoyed our kayak tremendously, the harbour tour offers incredible views of the city's centre including the bridge and the Opera building. The ferry traffic ads some excitement to the kayaking. Our guide Shannon took great care, shared some interesting information with us about the harbour and it's surrounding. The breakfast with hot coffee along the way was very welcome on the cold morning when we did our tour. Thank you for a great experience Shannon.

5.00There were so many good things about our paddle with Sydney Harbour Kayaks that I don’t know where to start. Two of us showed for the morning start where we learned that we are the only ones for the trip. That was a nice surprise as some tour companies try to reschedule or cancel if there are not enough participants. Shannon was our guide and he quickly got us on water with no drama. It helps to have previous kayaking experience. Our kayak was new and very stable which made it comfortable going through ferries’ wakes. Shannon is a paddling Wikipedia about Sydney, particularly its water aspects. We enjoyed his talk very much. We made it quickly to North Sydney where our guide set up excellent beach breakfast. I wish I had asked Shannon what coffee beans he used because coffee was to be remembered. We really felt we got a personalized tour as the route was adjusted/extended once we showed we could keep the pace. Overall a great experience that I would recommend any day. Thank you Shannon.

5.00I found the tour really well organised it was a good size 5 kayaks with 10 people plus our two guides from Sydney Kayaks. Shannon is passionate about our waterways in the Harbour and the thousands of years of history behind them. He shepherded us through a busy Harbour. We had a pleasant breakfast of coffee and pastries, and fruit at Lavender Bay, paused a bit while some rain passed through, and then did the return leg again expertly guided. A great day and I think the early start is definitely the way to go.
