Horrible train. Feels conjested. Not as roomy as the NI Translink train. The toilet in my carriage was filthy and yet was charged a hefty €30 for the journey from Dublin to Belfast. The Belfast to Dublin journey only cost me £15. A guy went through the train twice collecting rubbish. This person's job should also be to check on the toilets. Remove paper off the floor, wipe the handbasin. If the floor is wet, wipe/mop it. Was disgusting! The Journey with Translink to Dublin was lovely with very clean toilets, power charging for phones. NOTHING on the IRISH Rail train. Upgrade your service to match the cost you charge. And introduce a SENIOR fare. I am a pensioner and that was a lot of money for me. I travelled for 2 hours in Portugal to Lisbon and it cost me €5.40 on a Senior Fare. Would have been €11 otherwise. I paid €30 for a 2 hoyur journey on IRISH RAIL. This was the 18:50 service on 22/11/2025. And what a horrendous queuing system in that huge room with the furniture creating barriers. As a 73y.o., I cannot walk well and that was more than I could cope with going up and down the room to get to the door. People moved the furniture so they didn't have to do this. Good on them!

Great day out and a nice way to include a visit to Dublin for the day. Having a few stops along the way at St. Patrick Center , Monasterboyce and the drive through the Mourne mountains was a lot better than staring at the world when travelling on the motorway to get to Dublin. The guide,Godfric i think , gave us a nice city tour as well before we explored Dublin.

We had an amazing day with William. He is very knowledgable and funny at the same time. We visited the saoul church, and then St. Patrick center, and then to the old Christian monastic settlement. We also got time in Dublin to see around. Very pretty views along the way, instead of the boring motorway. We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone that wants to go to Dublin from Belfast.
