Enjoy to explore the wonderful capital of Hungary on this half-day tour with a professional guide! The tour is specially recommended if you would like to see the most important and beautiful parts of the city, have a general overview about the country and get a glance into the local's daily life. The tour is flexible and can be costumized according to your requests.
The tour is conducted by walking and Public transport.
Private transportation can be arranged up to your request. If you prefer to have a private car or van just please contact me to prepare.
Important NOTE: If you would like I can guide you inside the churches or the synagogues just you can buy the tickets and I will tell you the details of the enterieur of the places. Just the Parliament not as they have different rules.

I pick you up from your hotel or wherever is most comfortable for you, and we head straight to the City Park, this is where our tour starts. City Park has many sightseeing opportunities including the glorious Vajdahunyad Castle, Széchenyi bath (the largest thermal bath in the capital), the Zoo and an outdoor Ice skating rink. We then head to Hero's Square, where I will give you a short lesson regarding the most important figures in Hungarian history. Along the famous Andrássy Avenue, we can find the beautiful Neo-Renaissance mansions and townhouses featuring fine facades. Homes on this street have been featured on televisions shows such as House Hunters International. It is also one of Budapest's main shopping streets with fine cafes, restaurants, theaters and luxury boutiques. We have a look inside St Stephen Basilica, where the most important reliquary, the "Holy Right Hand", the mummified hand of St Stephen is placed. We then walk around the gorgeous Hungarian Parliament and Liberty Square to discover the stories behind every statue of it. We continue our trip up to the Royal Castle District crossing the famous Chain Bridge. We visit the charming Royal Castle, Matthias Church with its beautiful frescos and the Fisherman's Bastion. After wandering around in this beautiful historical area, we enjoy the panoramic view of the capital.

5.00I would highly recommend this tour to any first time visitor to Budapest. It covers 90% of the major attractions. My tour guide, George was super knowledgeable and was responsive to my specific areas of interest. This tour involves the use of public transportation: trams, buses and subways. This is very beneficial in that you now know how to get back to areas of Budapest you want to more thoroughly explore. I had a great time.

5.00This tour was very interesting and our tour guide, Gyorgy Rashad Salamon (George) was fantastic! The 4 hours went by very quickly and George led us by subway and bus to all the sights and we were able to see over 90% of the major Budapest attractions. Along the tour George provided fascinating info on the history and legends of Budapest. He was also very helpful with restaurant, taxi and other advice for our stay. A wonderful tour for all visitors to Budapest. Highly recommended!

5.00The guide György Rashad Salamon had an excellent grasp of history and gave us an extremely educational tour of Budapest (and Hungary) from the mediaeval to the 1848 revolution and post-fall of Iron Curtain. He was gracious, helpful, and took care of the details so we covered a lot of Buda and Pest in the 4 hours. I'd highly recommend György to anyone looking to get a great introduction to Budapest and Hungary.

5.00Please read the review above about this most wonderful man. Rashad tailored the two days we spent to meet our needs. We got to see places that normally tourists do not get to see. He took us at the best times to see the sights. For example, we went to St Stephen's Basilica at 10 am when the Holy Thursday service was to begin. The bells were ringing outside and inside the organ was playing and there had to be 2-3000 people there for the service as we were able to hear part of the mass and his knowledge of the church was unbelievable. The same held true for the palace, the parliament, the opera house, St Mathias church plus Jewish History as we are Jewish. My traveling partner had some health issues and he made sure that she could be accommodated with such grace and care. Thank you Rashad for making our trip to your beautiful city a memory that we will never forget.

5.00Our guide for this tour was Mr Rashad Soliman, an outstanding young man who made our tour one of the most memorable that we had on our three week vacation. He gave us more hours than we had expected and took us to many places all over the city. To top it off, he gave us a bottle of wine as a gift at the end of our tour. You have not seen Budapest until you taken Mr Rashad's tour. He is a former history teacher with a vast knowledge of the city origins, development, and more recent turbulent times and events. You will see Monuments and Architecture, the inside of Cathedrals, as well as bullet scarred walls intentionally left as silent witness to strife now ended.
We unabashedly praise Mr Rashad for his excellent tour and fine descriptions and explanations of people, places, and events. The more questions that you can ask him, the more that you will learn from your tour.
