• Snorkeling at West End Roatan with RTGA

  Danni emailed as soon as I booked the excursion and provided many details so that I was completely at ease about our meeting place and the details of our excursion. We arrived fifteen minutes early and immediately found Vanessa with the RTGA sign. She has the most energetic, outgoing personality and was so much fun! We have always booked our excursions through Royal Caribbean but didn’t find the snorkel trip we were looking for and took a chance on Roatán Tour Guide Association and we are SO HAPPY that we did! Vanessa made us feel like VIPs! Thank you also to Danni for meeting us at the beach and thank you to our boat captain and snorkel guide. Before and after our snorkeling, Vanessa took us to souvenir shops, the chocolate factory and to Half Moon to eat at Annie’s! The food was AMAZING! We had 6 people in our group and our snorkel trip was a private tour! We are regular cruise ship passengers and expect great service but this excursion was way above our expectations! Thank you for such a beautiful Roatan experience. We look forward to visiting again and we will always call on RTGA!

  This was the best experience my family and I ever had! Instructions for the meetup point were clear and easy.Driver and guides were very friendly. The Snorkeling sites were the absolute best! 100% Recommended!

  This had 5 stars so I had high hopes. I didn’t know it was a private tour until I got there but it was fine. But I got super seasick, throwing up the whole time. My snorkel guide, Mario, the last time we were in the water, grabbed my butt multiple times. This was incredibly scary and traumatic as a solo female traveler. I texted Dani, the owner, who wrote a nice message and said he’d address it with Mario. But if Mario is still working there, I have to say this is NOT a safe tour for solo female travelers in particular. Incredibly predatory.

  This was an awesome snorkel tour. 3 different reef sections. Good amount of time at each one. Our guide, Mario, was awesome. Was great at highlighting what we were seeing, and was very enthusiastic about making the excursion a great time. I highly recommend.

  This was one of the best snorkeling experiences we’ve ever had! Mario was super friendly and knowledgeable, and the boat ride was smooth and comfortable. We saw lots of beautiful fish and were excited to see a spotted eagle ray. Highly recommend!

  I had an excellent time with Mario and José! Mario is super knowledgeable and passionate about snorkeling. José was an excellent captain & his boat was very comfortable. I had the tour to myself. I am a pretty experienced swimmer, and Mario catered to me very well. We must have seen over 100 species of fish, and I crossed many of my list that I hadn’t yet seen during the rest of my time in Roatán. This was on the 3 stop tour. The gear they offered was top notch. Definitely worth your while!

  Dani the Owner was responsive and easy-going to communicate with. We booked a Private Tour for 4 adults for 3-spot Snorkeling (Blue Channel, Turtle Crossing, Aquarium). Mario was our cheerful and energetic guide. I had missed the email commo about Pick-up location b/c I didn't get the Internet Package on the Cruise Line. So the Port entry was pretty chaotic but we just went with the crowd flow to where the Tour Vendors were. We kept looking for the RTGA Logo (red flower) & found a sweet gal working with the company and passed us up to Mario. Now the walk to the vehicle was a bit "developing country"--like, but all good. Air conditioned vehicle, short trip to the West End; Safe Parking. Mario gave great attention to each of us, asked what we'd like to see/do, explained everything well, emphasized safety and made us comfortable with his oversight and guidance. Fins and Flotation equipment were offered but not required. The snorkeling spots were cool and Mario even dove ~50 ft to retrieve a Conch shell from the sandy bottom. Some very colorful fish and reef to see. No worries about sharks. After the water he took us to a few shops, the chocolate factory, and to a very cool private beach. Please bring Cash to Tip anyone that helps you find the RTGA folks, your Private Guide, the Boat captain, and the Choc factory educator. Btw, the Choc factory had restrooms to change into/out of swimwear. Highly Recommend this Tour Group --experienced, personable, safe, competitive pricing.

  Absolutely incredible snorkeling adventure in Roatan, Honduras! Vanessa was amazing — so knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive throughout the entire excursion. She made sure we felt comfortable, informed, and excited every step of the way. Our snorkel guide, Valentin, was fantastic as well! He made sure we saw the beautiful reef, pointed out amazing marine life, and kept the whole experience fun and enjoyable. This was easily a 100/100 experience for us. The staff, the reef, and the overall atmosphere were unforgettable. We will definitely be booking again the next time we’re in Roatan!

  A great day snorkeling with Mario. My wife and I have been snorkeling for 40 years and have snorkeled countless times. Pickup and drop off at the cruise port worked perfectly. Mario drove us (we were the only ones on the tour) to West End Bay, where we snorkeled at 2 stops not far off shore. Mario was very personable as a guide and a pleasure to be with. We snorkeled at 2 stops for about 25 minutes at each stop. The tour company was very flexible as to how many stops you wanted to make. The reef was in excellent shape, with an abundance of fish of various species. Water clarity was fantastic. Mario was excellent to be in the water with, pointing out various fish, squid, a lobster and living conch. He clearly loves his job and it showed. He geared his tour with us to our level of experience, but I believe that he would be equally good with beginners and the “not too” experienced. In summary, I highly recommend this snorkeling excursion and Mario as the guide. The owner, Dani, was also a pleasure to deal with. Some of thd best snorkeling that we have done in years.

  Mario was a helpful and knowledgeable guide. He showed us his favorite spots and swam with us so that we were comfortable and didn’t miss thing.
