Please also note for any guests wanting to snorkel the fringing reef from Camira, you must have adequate swimming abilities as there are no flotation devices available.

Hill Inlet
On a guided hike to Hill Inlet lookout, follow a path walked by the Whitsundays’ traditional owners, the Ngaro people. Back on the beach, swim and stroll along the shore before a BBQ lunch cooked and served on board. After lunch, you will head to one of the Whitsundays fringing reefs for some snorkelling before sailing back to shore.

On Whitsunday Island’s east coast, Camira moors at the northern end of Whitehaven Beach, a 7km arc of dazzling white sand, regularly voted Australia’s best beach.

5.00Very friendly staff, couldn’t fault the experience. Great day with the taste of the Whitsunday experience. Snorkelling spot a bit overcrowded and not too much to see, head to the outer reef for that. Great food , plenty to drink , never ending eskis !

5.00It was so fun and there was a really nice net at the front for sleep and chill and there was seating for eating inside and a mini bar and free drinks and a barbecue and snacks throughout the day. It was definitely worth the money and I highly recommend. They were very mindful of the reef which was very kind and they guided us on Whitehaven island and gave us sting prevention suits which was very good. A brilliant experience. It was a whole day so anyone who wishes to have a day out this is the perfect activity. There were about 60 people which was perfect and never too crowded! Thank you!

5.00What a lovely day on the Camira. Despite the overcast weather it was the best experience. The staff were very organised and friendly. They gave us the perfect amount of time for snorkelling and exploring the Hill inlet and White Haven beach. We were provided a lovely morning tea, then snacks then lunch and afternoon tea. The food was great quality, I was so full by the end of the day. They also kept the soft drinks and bar stocked up the whole trip. It was great and I hope I get the chance to go on the Camira again on a Sunny day.

5.00We did the full day sailing adventure on Camira, the largest sailing catamaran in the Whitsundays, and it was just fantastic. There were around 70 people on board, but it never felt busy or crowded. Plenty of space to move around, sit back, and actually enjoy the day. The itinerary was spot on. We snorkelled parts of the Great Barrier Reef, which alone makes the day special, and then headed to Hill Inlet for the walk up to the lookout. It was hot and humid and there are a lot of steps, but the view is exactly that iconic Whitsundays image you see everywhere and it is absolutely worth the effort. The white silica sand and those swirling blues are stunning. Food was plentiful and really good, and drinks were included from late morning, which added to the relaxed, festive feel of the day. Nothing rushed, just a lovely steady pace. The crew were friendly, professional, and clearly know what they’re doing. All up, this was a beautiful way to experience the Whitsundays in a single day. Great sailing, incredible scenery, well organised, and thoroughly enjoyable. I’d absolutely recommend it.

4.00Awesome experience! Loved the overall activity and service. The highlight of the tour (to me) is the snorkeling coz that was my first time and it's just incredible. Friendly staff and good food, highly recommended.

5.00Had the best day on Camira, the crew put on a great day with plenty of yummy food and drinks. Whitehaven beach and Hill inlet lookout are a must see! That atmosphere on the boat is fun and relaxing. Our kids (12 & 14) were not bored for a second, staff even played games to keep them entertained on the the back to port. Highly recommend this trip.

2.00Unfortunately this was not as advertised. The adverts states 10hrs - the trip was cut short. Hike to the Hill Inlet Lookout, leave footprints in the white silica sand - they didn't tell us that they would not be doing this until we were on the boat. Don't be fooled by the sails up picture, the 20 years experience captain just ran the boat on the motor the whole time and the sails were put up just for effect ( I have sailed and this was not sailing). They took us to a historic cave paining instead which, history wise was ok, but the staff were desperate to show us the cave then get back on the boat, all done in about 45 minutes - a far cry from the advertised hike in the white silica sands. I understand weather changes and plans need to change, but this trip is highlighted as a hike on the white silica sand. They should have informed us that we would not be doing what was promised and given us the option to cancel. The staff were very friendly and attentive, they tired their best to entertain us but in all pretty boring and a lot of people just fell asleep. Your best bet is to book a fast boat if you want to actually get to the white silica sand beach - a lot cheaper as well If you really want to do this trip then I suggest you ask the itinerary as you arrive at the dock, if the trip is not as advertised then ask for a refund or to move to another day.
