A high level of fitness and good mobility is required, including a challenging 40-minute walk to and from Cathedral Cove over uneven terrain. Not suitable for guests with mobility difficulties.
Bring swimwear and a towel if you wish to swim. Closed-in, sturdy footwear is mandatory.
Tracks may be unsafe during or after heavy rain; alternative arrangements will be made if required.
Children aged 7 and under must use a child safety seat. You may bring your own or hire one for NZ$20 with 24 hours’ notice.
Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund.

4.00Saw some amazing beaches. The tides were not in our favour, which meant we didn’t get to build a spa at hot beach. Definitely bring swimwear (wish we did, should be added to the list of things to bring) lots of time to swim.

5.00Had a great time on this small group tour to the Coromandel Peninsula. Pearl was a fabulous guide, I especially appreciated the group text to keep us up to date on everything. The hike to Cathedral cove was a challenge, but beautiful and the hot water beach was crazy chaos. It was a long day that ended in ice cream with stunning nature in between.

5.00This is an iconic tour and as a solo traveler I had the unexpected joy of meeting lots of great people! The tour guide even sang Christmas carols to our group we had such good vibes.

4.00Departure was almost 30 minutes delayed due to some no-shows, then we started the transfer to Coromandel peninsula. We knew, that hot water holes would be impossible for today, but we stopped there for some time to feel the place. Then we reached the Cathedral cove after a detour due to missed junction. The place itself is incredible and I would recommend it to everyone to visit it. Although the forecast promised rain, we had a sunny day. I was surprised, that there were only few people. Then we had a short stop in Hahei for lunch (and a quick beach visit) and a visit to Thames Goldmine Experience. Som eguys in the group were not happy about it, but I think it was worth seeing and learning something new about the place and history of this part of New Zealand. Traffic jam in Aucklands suburbs is something that we could not change, but it was not that bad as it appeared in first few minutes. Our guides were Mark and Trent. Great guys, but I think their little weakness is orientation and sticking to schedule :-) But travelling with them is safe and we talked a lot abot our life experience from different countries. I can recommend Cheeky Kiwi as a tour operator for your plans on NZ.

Our tour guide Ari is very professional, always ask us if we have any questions, very knowledgeable about the tour and mew zealand history. She guides us accordingly, tells us what’s happening on the tour and advises us what’s next. Excellent Job!
