What To Expect
Mossman Gorge Cultural Centre
Our first stop for the day is at Mossman Gorge, the base of the Daintree National Park for a guided interpretive walk with your guide, capturing the best time of day for the perfect photo opportunity and the possibility of spotting a Boyd's Forest Dragon or a platypus.
Daintree
Our next stop is the Daintree River via the Mossman Township where sugar cane and the sugar mill features in the landscape. Arriving at the Daintree River we take a Wildlife Cruise. Here you can sit back, soak up the tranquility and natural beauty, listen to the songbirds and seek the elusive Estuarine Crocodile.

4.00The experience is well organised and the amount of knowledge shared by the guide with us was over the expectations. The only thing that we did not appreciate was the pick up time - we received an email to be ready at 08:10 and we were picked up only 35 min later. This should not be the case and if some unexpected circumstances pop up, we should have received a message.

5.00We were staying in Carins and drove the 1hr and 25 minutes to Port Douglas to take this tour. We wanted a smaller group (only 8) for a more personal experience. We were not disappointed, as our tour guide was very informative the whole trip and often funny. Included were stops for tea/coffee and muffins and cookies for the morning snack, and a wonderful lunch stop after a walk in the rainforest on private property...just our group out there. Then the croc tour on the river on a perfect sized boat with another humerous and knowledgeable captain,. Finally a drive to lovely beach for a short walk at Cape Tribulation, and then a stop for fabulous ice cream on the way back. Ice cream on your own dime but so worth it.
