Try the traditional Dresden Christmas Stollen or warm up with mulled wine. Get into the Christmas spirit with a visit to one of Europe's most famous Christmas markets in Dresden, which has a tradition dating back to 1434.
Dresden is one of the most charming and attractive cities on the Elbe.
Be enchanted by them during a tour of the historic center, after which we will immerse ourselves in the whirlwind of the unique atmosphere of the Christmas markets.
Itinerary:
- Hotel pick-up at 9:00 am. (you will receive precise schedule make sure that you give us right phone number that we can reach).
- We will park the car at the parking lot Centrum-Galerie (Prager Straße)
- We start with a historic center tour
- After the sightseeing tour, we will visit Dresden Medieval Christmas Market - Stallhof and the oldest Christmas market in Germany the Altmarkt Christmas Market
- When we're all in the Christmas spirit it's time to head back to the car
- Hotel drop-off approx 8 pm

Semper Opera House (Semperoper)
The Semper Opera is the opera house of the Saxon State Opera. The architect Gottfried Semper first built a theater on this site, but it fell to ashes in 1869. The Dresden Zwinger
The Zwinger is a complex of Baroque buildings with a garden in the Old Town of Saxon Dresden. It is one of the most significant construction works from the Baroque period in Germany. Next to the Frauenkirche, the Zwinger is the city's most famous landmark. Originally, it was supposed to be the courtyard of a magnificent castle, but it was never built.

From the moment I was picked up in Prague, everything felt smooth, comfortable, and perfectly organized. The drive itself was easy and relaxing, and arriving in Dresden felt like stepping into a different world. The Old Town took my breath away. Walking through the beautifully reconstructed historic center, seeing the Frauenkirche, the elegant streets, and the river atmosphere — it all felt peaceful, rich in history, and incredibly charming. And then came the Christmas markets. The lights, the smell of mulled wine, the wooden stalls, the traditional crafts and decorations… it genuinely felt like being inside a Christmas storybook. I loved having time to explore, taste local treats, and just soak up the atmosphere. What I appreciated most was how well-timed and stress-free the entire trip was. No rushing, no confusion — just a beautifully flowing day. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly, the schedule was comfortable, and I could simply enjoy the experience without worrying about logistics. If you’re in Prague and want to experience something truly magical, emotional, and memorable, this tour is absolutely worth it. I would book it again without hesitation.

5.00Th tour was such a wonderful experience. I completely fell in love with the Christmas atmosphere in Dresden. Compared to the Okd Town Square Christmas markets, this tour felt much more unique and authentic. Our tour guide was truly knowledgeable with a great sense of humour. Communication with the company was smooth and helpful, and the journey itself was very comfortable. The whole tour was well organized and stress-free, which made the day really special. If you’re in Prague during winter, this is definitely a trip worth taking. Gonna come back 😊

5.00My family and I had a wonderful time in Dresden. Ondrej was our tour guide and he was very friendly and informative. If you like shopping Christmas markets and want to learn a bit of history especially the reconstruction of Dresden post WWII you will enjoy this tour. I would highly recommend.

5.00We really enjoyed the day trip to Dresden from Prague. Ondrej is a great tour guide very friendly and very flexible in his tour programme. It was only me and my wife on the tour. Hence, he was very flexible with us in regards to the tour programme. I recommend this tour if you are staying in Prague for more than 3 days and would want to see another city close by.

He was very professional , excellent driver , and explained all the sites .He gave us plenty of time on Dresden .we loved The Christmas markets, the history of Dresden and monuments, the bakeries . Our way back was smoothly . Great time. I will recommended 100 % Jesus

4.00Dresden does have way more to offer than Xmas markets, but having done Vienna and Prague….we found the stalls here better and there’s a lot more depth and variety on offer than the other 2. Yes it is a longish drive but so worth it Ondrej was a great guide and driver and reached out the day before to organise the pick up. Very knowledgeable as well There’s a lot to see and do in Dresden and Prague is a great pivot point for this and similar day trips. Highly recommended

5.00One of the best Christmas Markets in Europe . Great choice of food, souvenirs, drinks. Very authentic. Set at the plaza in front of the historic Church and the old town. Highly recommend even as a day trip.

5.00Ondrej was our guide and everything was exceptional. All other tours are not as perfect as this one. Everything ran on time and we were very well looked after. Ondrej was very knowledgeable and accommodating to all of our needs. The markets were a must-see experience that were magical. Ondrej also runs additional tours upon request and was only too happy to help us with our questions and needs. He made our holiday very special. Thank you, Ondrej.
