Ready to experience the Sami culture? In this tour, we take you to a Sami family so you can see how they live and try different Sami activities like lasso-throwing. That's the way Sami people catch their reindeer. When you have caught the reindeer you also get allowed to feed them! Enjoy a light refreshment in a heated cabin.
This activity also fits well for kids 6 and above.
This tour does not include reindeer sledding.

This excursion is suitable for both adults and children 6+. Our journey to Lavangsdalen takes approximately 30 minutes by bus each way. Once there, we will be greeted by a Sami family who will share fascinating insights into the history of the Sami people. You will even have the opportunity to feed reindeer and try your hand at throwing lasso on reindeer antlers (if there will be a time), just like the Sami do when herding reindeer. Enjoy a light refreshment in a heated cabin during the tour. This tour is perfect for families, and kids aged 6 and up can join in the fun! It is a great way for everyone to learn about Sami culture together! While you are there, do not miss out on the chance to buy a real handmade Sami product. Each item is unique and perfect as a gift or a special souvenir from your trip. You can relax with a light snack in a warm cabin during the tour, and with our small group size (max 32 people), you will enjoy a personal experience with our guides and a new friends.

3.00We booked for raindeer package on rhe 25th February after recommendation by my friends Aiza Azrina Johari x 2 pax . However their package is for 3 hours without raindeer sledding and our package are for 4 hours including 20 minutes raindeer sledding. On the 25th Feb we were shocked to find out that we were actually going to the same farm with the same transportation. There were no raindeer sledding available at the visited farm. When I asked the driver cum guide , he was clueless . You can imagine our dissapointment. Hence we hope to be compensated with the price difference in the packages. Looking forward to hear from you .

5.00Brilliant experience! An actual Sami guide, who told us lots about Sami history and life and answered all of our questions. We got to feed the reindeer and had plenty of time for photos. We then got tea/coffee in the hut with an open fire. The whole experience felt authentic and not rushed, it didn’t feel like a gimic like some tours can.

5.00We booked this tour and absolutely loved it. Was easy to find where to meet with the app. The driver was so friendly and funny..that made it too.. enjoyed feeding the reindeer.
