Guided Cathedral visits take place on afternoon tours; morning tours include independent entry after the tour with your pre-reserved tickets.
Low season (generally November to March) is often seen as an opportunity for renovation and maintenance. Therefore, sites may be closed during this period, often without warning.
Please note that Cathedral entry is not available on Sundays.
Individuals wearing sleeveless shirts and shorts above knees are not allowed inside the cathedral.
Backpacks of any size or dimension, and any bag designed to be worn on the back, are not allowed.
This tour includes portions that are outside and could be in the full sun. Please bring a hat, small umbrella, or sunscreen if you are sensitive to the sun.
Arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes before the start of the tour. This is due to the timed entry of the tickets.
It is not possible to join the tour after it has commenced.

The baptistery is currently undergoing restoration of the vault's mosaics.
Giotto’s Bell Tower has no lift available.
Both the Duomo Museum and the Florence Baptistery are scheduled to be visited; however, depending on timing and availability, the tour may include only one of the two sites.
You may be refused entry if you fail to comply with the cathedral’s dress requirements.
The Cathedral is an active place of worship and may be closed to visitors at any time for liturgical services or religious ceremonies, sometimes without prior notice.

4.00Overall a good tour. The focus of the time spent within the Academia Galleria is guide dependent but overall informative. We booked the 3 hour tour including Giotto Bell tower climb which is 100% worth it! Nite that the 3 hour tours is 3 hours and then you are assigned a climb time (this was not evident to us when booking based on the description within Viator, so plan your day accordingly)

5.00We had an absolutely amazing tour! Francesca was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and funny, which made the experience both educational and enjoyable. She shared so much interesting information and brought the history and culture to life with her stories and sense of humor. We learned a lot and truly enjoyed every minute of it. 5.00Julia was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable and took her time at every place. Towards the end of the tour, it was only 4 of us and it felt just right. The other families had kids that didn’t want to be there anymore. It was nice to go inside buildings that had AC.

5.00Since it was our honeymoon, we were trying to avoid group tours as much as possible, but this was the perfect small-group tour for our trip. We got to see the highlights of Florence without spending too much time in any museum. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and so open to answering questions. We got especially lucky with our tour since we were the only ones that booked the extra part of the tour, so it was just us 2 and the tour guide for half of the tour. We learned and saw so much in a small amount of time and felt it was a great value for the money. Would definitely recommend!

4.00Great tour. Guide was very knowledgeable. Unfortunately, we not able to go into the cathedral because of a scheduling issue. However, the guide informed us that we could use the tickets the following day, which we did.
