  Bernina Red Train to St. Moritz from Milan: It was an amazing day full of spectacular scenery of beautiful alps and landscapes. My husband and I had great experience with friendly and knowledgeable tour guide Alexander. The views were stunning from the time we left Milan, all the way to St. Moritz. Watching the picturesque landscapes and Alps from Bernina Red Train was an incredible experience. We highly recommend this tour.

  After changing the date to 29th July, We were informed that the tour was fully booked. Viator proceeded to debit my credit card and confirm our reservation with tickets and where to meet at the Milan Visitors Centre at 7.15. We arrived early and waited. After 7.30 passed, The Zani bus operator was there and he made phone calls and was told to take us to the next stop. We arrived there and no bus was doing the tour of the bernina train to st Moritz. We were told it had been cancelled. We had no knowledge and had not been informed that it was cancelled yet we received our tickets and confirmation as well as funds being deducted on my credit card. I would not recommend using Viator due to lack of communication and computerised messages being automated with no interaction from actual staff .

  They never showed up, I was not notified of cancellation and I was early to the pickup spot. Thanks for nothing, this was my last day able to do this and it was the big thing I was going to do. I also spent money to get to the pickup point then back home again.

  This trip was paid for in January but was cancelled the day before with absolutely no explanation. Booking office said onsellers like ours get bumped. We are still waiting for our almost $1000 to be refunded.

  in addition to the beautiful trip, I really liked the excellent preparation and friendliness of the guide, very clear in the topics, locality guide and the way he spoke in English, we were able to understand well, despite not practicing this language for a long time. to note also that it was on purpose by us to repeat also in Italian and never left us on the sidelines.

  I made a fantastic one-day trip to St. Moritz! The scene was absolutely breathtaking: from the crystal clear lake to the snow-covered mountains, it seemed to be in a postcard. The trip itself was quiet and well organized. The only reason why it doesn't deserve 5 stars is that we'd like to have had a little more time to walk. Anyway, overall it was a great experience and I highly recommend!

  The beauty of the Alps is something else. The Bernina train ride was lovely and the panoramic carriages offered excellent views, it was a matter of where to look, there was so much to see. The day's program was slightly altered, sometimes this is unavoidable but it did not affect the enjoyment of the day. I highly recommend this tour!

  BEWARE this tour is totally fictional and does not agree to the itinerary in any way. While the tour was nice it was completely different to what it is described as being and so not worth it for the price. Below are all the differences between the itinerary of the tour we booked and the one we actually went on. 1. It says that it’s gonna be 20 people maximum so small enough that the experience is more intimate but we were closer to 60 people in the coach. 2. The itinerary clearly states that from Milan we go to tirano to catch the Bernina train to St Moritz in reality we spent close to 4 hrs on a crammed coach from Milan to St Moritz 3. The itinerary shows that there are multiple stops between Tirano and St Moritz with time in each stop to enjoy the views and places and take some pics but we did not stop at any of these locations we just passed by and we didn’t even have the 1hr in Tirano as stated in the itinerary When we got to St Moritz we were supposed to have 2.20 hrs to explore St Moritz and another 1 hour at the St Moritz lake but we only had about 1.5hr in St Moritz and didn’t even go to the lake just passed by on the coach! They didn’t even take us to the city center which is over 40mins (by walk) away from where we stopped and we regretfully didn’t manage to make it to the center! 4. After a short stay in St Moritz we took the train to Tirano where we immediately took the coach to Milan with not time to explore Tirano - not even for a drink or some souvenirs. Our experience while it was nice was completely different to what we wanted- we spent weeks trying to find the right tour (there are a lot of tours for the Bernina train) with the aspects we wanted such as 2+hrs in St Moritz, 2 way ride on the Bernina train, ample time to stop and take pictures etc. To top it all of we were speaking to other people on the tour and they all told us that they paid below €120 each (I.e less than 50% of what we each had paid) and that our itinerary was completely different to theirs and when we tried to speak to the tour guide she was hopeless didn’t even bother to speak to us to see why these differences occurred and didn’t know who prepared the itinerary and said that the itinerary was impossible to achieve! My cousin and myself at first thought that we boarded the wrong coach but upon boarding we had shown the guide our tickets and she had confirmed that we are on her list - we then had the suspicion that either this tour is a total scam or else they didn’t manage to fill up our tour and put us in with another tour with no notification. We were never contacted by the tour operator to see what went wrong after we complained to both the tour guide and Viator! We sent Viator a message as soon as we saw that we were driving by coach to St Moritz in the morning and not by train and after some back and forth they asked us what we wanted to do with our booking - our answer was this: “Obviously the only reason we flew from Malta to Milan is because we want to do this Bernina Experience train and spend as much time possible (which on the itinerary it said we’ll have 2.20hrs) in St Moritz which is very important to us and we paid a hefty price tag to get this. Of course now we’re on the bus and we will go but this price we paid is for a much more comprehensive tour and not the one we’re on. Everyone we spoke to said that they paid $120 each at most some as low as $100 each. So the advertisement on Viator is completely made up and it’s false advertising and we were charged more than double than other people which is unacceptable. The price we were charged is for a completely different tour and I would like a refund Ofc it’s not what we booked and I would like a full refund so that we can do this again in the coming months however I want to ensure that we are not kicked off this tour and stranded somewhere but that we actually continue with the group back to Milan” Victor’s answer was as follows: “ Unfortunately, once I process it, they will be notified, and I'm unsure what their decision will be.” So they agreed to give us a refund of half the tour but could not guarantee that me and my cousin would not be kicked off the tour and stranded! That’s the customer service that Viator offers! At this point we were so terrified of being stranded that we stopped replying to Viator, completed the tour and once we were back in Milan we contacted them again to ask for the refund.

  Avoid by all cost to book this trip of £248 pp. We booked this trip on TripAdvisor website, and it is a come Rip Off. When we booked the trip, it meant a complete full day from Milan to St Moritz on Bernina Express Train. The meeting place it was changed within the last couple of days, a different place was chosen. Instead of boarding the Bernina Express Train as originally booked, they had booked us the Local Red Train to much of our disappointment and the journey was very short. At St Moritz, we had a very limited break. We couldn't even feed our 4 year old son properly. We had to rush him to eat because the bus was arriving. If we could give a score, it would be a - 10 review. Total Scam because they put us on a cheaper deal. TripAdvisor has been contacted and formal complaint has been submitted for a complete refund. Please Avoid....
