  Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the start. The Blands tour company’s pickup location was quite far from the ship, and approximately 75 people were waiting to check in with only one person managing the process (second person shows up later). About 45 minutes after the scheduled start time, the first bus finally arrived, but we were unable to get on it. We were then informed that there had been an accident on the road and that another bus would not arrive for an additional 45 minutes to an hour. At that point, we asked if we could cancel and were told that we could. Given the continued delays, taking the tour would have meant returning to the ship too close to the embarkation time, which made it impractical for us to continue.

  Best part was Europa Point. It was hard to hear/understand the guide clearly. It could depend on your guides accent. Ours did a good job but she was at the front of the bus, often facing forward so, it was harder to hear/understand. Wish guides had audio that is heard throughout the bus. Still worth it.

  Car parked on the Spanish side on the large paying car park just in front of the customs/customs entrance of Gibraltar. Luxury parking that is worth its money. Definitely bring your passport otherwise no entry to Gibraltar. Immediately after check passport you can change the main runway of the airport with an impressive view of "the rock". Then follow the crowd to the market square with the cozy typical English shops. On the market square you can also see the white tour vans lining up. Here you can go on an unforgettable adventure to the 5 most beautiful sights. Top guides who know the island inside out. We were lucky enough to just have Thomas (Tommy) Redman. Born and raised Gibraltese of the third generation. Knows the island inside out which guarantees many fine facts. All questions will be answered and you will immediately gain respect for the history and future of the ever-expanding Gibraltar where a square meter of building land and 1 liter of drinking water is valued nowhere more than anywhere else in Europe.   While the cost was a lot higher than the on street offerings, it was a professional service. The duration was a couple of hours, and as we were the only guests, it was a 'private tour' and our driver (David) was very knowledgeable, as he was a native Gibraltatian. The minibus was a little tired, but clean and tidy, and David's driving was excellent in very difficult roads. Our three stops were as planned, We could clearly see Africa from the lighthouse stop, the caves are an excellent spot to visit, and if you are feeling fit, you can walk further up the rock in the 25 minutes available at that stop. The final stop is to meet some of the Barbary Apes, who are extremely sedate and chilled, compared to those we have seen elsewhere. Overall a very good trip!

  The Rock Tour was interesting learned quite a lot about the history of the tunnels and the caves were beautiful but I was disappointed that we did only see 2 monkeys I was expecting to see a lot more when asked the tour guide was informed that we were lucky we saw any I think this needs to be highlighted as I booked this s tour especially to see the Barbary monkeys so was very disappointed paying over a £100 for this trip for 2 of us I think this needs to highlighted so if you book you know that you might not see any and then the customer can decide whether they want to book the trip.

  We had a wonderful time. Our guide was a true local, his family having been in Gibraltar for generations, so he knew his material. We saw some things that were probably not on the average tour.

  A bit of a cattle run but efficient, well run, entertaining driver and sufficient time at each location to enjoy. The only negative aspect was finding the meeting place. Allow an extra 10-15 min to figure out how to get up to the 2nd floor of the parkade and then a few minutes to find them hidden in SE corner. Better instructions would help.
