Europa Point

Embrace the mesmerizing views of North Africa across the Strait of Gibraltar, including Ceuta and the Rif Mountains of Morocco as well as the Bay of Gibraltar and the Spanish towns along its shores. There are five notable buildings to spot on this scenic photo stop, Harding's Battery, the Ibrahim-al-Ibrahim Mosque, the Europa Point Lighthouse, the Nun's Well and the University of Gibraltar. Europa Point is also the location of Europa Sports Park which hosted the 2019 Island Games opening ceremony and since 2013 Europa Point has been the location of the Sikorski Memorial.

Michael’s Cave is worth taking this excursion!!

This excursion ended up pretty good, but starting out it was not so good. They say in the write up for the excursion that you just have to walk a little ways to something called the Midtown parking garage. We tried to get a shuttle there from the cruise port or a taxi we could get neither. We ended up having to walk and it was a good 30 to 40 minute walk. You must allow yourself enough time because this is not an excursion where you get picked up at the cruise terminal. It was a little harrowing because although our driver, Peter, was a good driver. It was treacherous getting up those little narrow streets and making sharp turns with those buses. It was stressful.!! Anyway, our stops were good and the whole thing is worth it just to go into Michael’s cave. We ended up getting a great picture, and we were all very grateful that Peter took us back to the cruise terminal, so we didn’t have to walk!!

Great tour of Gilbraltar. Guide was knowledgeable. Cave, monkeys and WW2 tunnels were very interesting. This tour did not go to top of the rock.

The tour guide was entertaining and knowledgeable about the city and historic areas leading up to the rock. He did a very good job leading the group and making sure we had time at each stop but returned to the starting point with plenty of time to return to our cruise ship.
