The full names of all participants must be provided at the time of booking and must match the names on the ID/Passport. Name changes are not permitted.
A government-issued ID or passport is required for all participants. Without an ID, security may deny entry to the monument. All guests, including children, must bring ID on tour day.
The Colosseum, Forum, and Palatine Hill may close occasionally. We'll notify you of any changes in advance if possible. For last-minute closures, updates will be given at the start of the tour.

Bypass the crowds and head straight inside, entering the Colosseum through a special gate once used by gladiators themselves. Walk right onto the arena floor—an area not usually accessible to the public—and learn about the harrowing events that took place here for entertainment's sake centuries ago. 9 AM tour only: Join a small group of maximum eight guests for an intimate and personalized journey through history.
The adventure continues at the Roman Forum. You’ll appreciate having a historian as a guide here. As you wander the streets, they can make sense of the ruins for you, pointing out the subtle differences that reveal whether the structure is a moneylender’s shop, public bath, or any number of common ancient structures. Learn what life was like in the days of Caesar, Nero, and Hadrian, and how Roman society functioned.

5.00We were rebooked from the Gladiator Gate tour to the Premium Colosseum tour due to time constraints and limited tour availability. Both tours were offered through Walks tour company. This tour company is professional and just overall the best tour company we have worked with. We went on our tour with Julia! Not only is the staff very professional but they really know so much history. Julia answered all of our questions and had such a depth of understanding in what she was showing us it really felt like we were on a personalized tour. You can tell the vetting process they take for their staff is superior to many other tour companies (many of which we have used) when it comes to Walks Tours. Would recommend this day tour to anyone! Truly the most knowledgeable staff around.

1.00Do not book this tour. There were multiple times provided and then we showed up at the time in the email provided that morning there was no tour. Poor communication and no refund. Very expensive. Beware this tour and company.

1.00We paid £300 for the tour. We received an email saying the tour was cancelled about ten days before the experience and were told that we’d be refunded. However we kept receiving email reminders of the tour so turned up on the day to find our names weren’t on the operators list so we couldn’t join the tour but still haven’t received a refund.

5.00We began and ended our Honeymoon in Rome! We planned a tour of the Colosseum at the beginning of our trip; however, due to time constraints, we needed to reschedule the tour. ItaliaTours was very helpful with accommodating our request and thus we went on our tour of the Roman Forum, and Colosseum at the end of our trip. It was fantastic!! Francesca was an outstanding guide, who was both knowledgeable and passionate about the history of Rome. We had a small group, which allowed for a more intimate interaction with Francesca. This allowed for more discussion, and deeper conversation surrounding the history of Ancient Rome! Francesca provided us with a glimpse into the past, one that enabled us to transport ourselves back in time, to the everyday lives of those in Rome. A must see, and one that requires a lesson in the history of the Roman Empire. Please do not miss this if you are in Rome!

5.00The tour operator was walks. We’ve used them a couple of times now. They are fabulous. Book direct or through this app. The Colosseum was fantastic, and the guide’s knowledge was spectacular. It was a three hour tour that included the arena floor, the second floor, the Roman forum and the Paladin hill and the ancient ruins. This was a hit and we are very glad we did it.
