Step aboard the Grand Canyon Railway for a trip to the majestic Grand Canyon you'll never forget. Feel the rumble of a vintage train as the engine chugs 65-miles (approximately 105 km) across the beautiful Northern Arizona countryside. The train offers kaleidoscopic views of the San Francisco Peaks and rolls through valleys adorned in wild flowers, dense pine forests, high desert plains and small canyons.

This exciting and scenic ride begins at the historic 1908 Williams Depot where you will be entertained by a Wild West shootout featuring the Cataract Creek Gang in an outdoor theater. Shop in one of two gift shops, or enjoy a hearty buffet breakfast (not included) before departure at the Grand Depot Cafe next to the depot. Then, hear the train whistle pierce the fresh morning air, beckoning passengers for a trip on the old iron horse to the Grand Canyon. Uniformed coach attendants provide you with white-gloved courtesy and service. Aboard the train, enjoy the tunes of strolling musicians who conduct sing-a-longs, an Old West train robbery, and the antics of western characters as they recreate train travel as it was back in 1901. This train will arrive into the historic 1910 Grand Canyon Depot, the only remaining log depot still in operation in the United States. Buildings like the El Tovar Hotel, Hopi House and Bright Angel Lodge salute arriving guests as you pull into the station and disembark from the train. Choose between coach class seating which are streamline era coaches built in the 1950's and are air-conditioned and heated in the cooler months. Soft drinks and bottled water are available for purchase on board. Upgrade to first class and enjoy the opulence of oversized, reclining seats with extra-large viewing windows and at-seat cocktail service (no host bar) aboard First Class. Cars are air-conditioned and you can help yourself to complimentary morning refreshments of fresh fruits, pastries, juices, teas and coffee. Enjoy snacks from the buffet on the afternoon trip. Please note: adult prices include a USD15 National Park Fee.

5.00We did the train ride earlier this month and absolutely loved it. My wife has wanted to do this for many years and it did not disappoint. If we do it again, I think we would spend the night and have more time to explore. We paid for the bus tour and I feel it was worth it. We got to go to 2 different locations and got back in time to explore the area around the station fully. The ride itself was fully enjoyable and relaxing. The train was beautiful. We went during the week so it wasn't too crowded. Lastly I would like to thank our car attendant, Morris. Morris made this trip special for my family and I. We are happy that our stories crossed and hope they cross one day again. You could really tell that he loves his job and loves the entire experience of the train and the canyon, and the awesomeness of it all. I was in tears (happy tears) when it was time to say goodbye. I just loved your analogy of the train ride called life. Thank you so much for the best experience Morris ❤️❤️ My family and I were blessed to meet you. I hope to share a train with you again some day.

4.00It was a long ride but enjoyed it. The ride back we like alot better in carr D, the speaker made it much more fun with his cow jokes. He was awesome. The ride up was boring. The speaker barely talked. Was no fun in car A.

5.00Great experience, very well organized, fun time with train staff, yummy snacks & drinks available, lunch provided. Some of the seats are positioned more at a wall than a window, so the view is obscured; this was not expected from the advertisement for First Class seats & the price we paid.

5.00The train departs punctually at 9:30 AM from Williams towards the Grand Canyon South Rim. The train ride lasts 2 hours. 15 minutes. Afterwards, you have 3 hours. 45 minutes. Time to explore the breathtaking Grand Canyon on your own before the return trip to Williams starts at 3:30 PM. The train journey is relaxing and very entertaining, featuring Western musicians, cowboys, and even a robbery. I recommend booking the Luxury Dome / Luxury Parlor class. Non-alcoholic beverages, sparkling wine, and snacks are included on both the outbound and return trips. Discounted hotel stays at the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel or the Maswik Lodge in the Grand Canyon can be booked through the Grand Canyon Railway website.

5.00Very easy to make reservations and even to make changes after the reservations were made. The trip was great for both my wife and I. We enjoyed the whole trip though it was a long day. We would do it again.

5.00It was awesome. We saw deer, prairie dogs,elk and wild mustangs. Maryellen was a fantastic tour guide. Very knowledgeable. The sheriff was great withe the kids and the musical entertainerswere great. Mary Ellen's recommendation for the Pine Country restaurant was great. Really enjoyed her stories about working in the park Forgot to take her picture though. Also liked the train robbery

5.00Relaxing train ride with a very knowledgeable guide. Great entertainment, including a train robbery. Best part of course was the Grand Canyon. Cannot describe the beauty.
