Great experience at Kuranda

5.00Scenic railway was a delightful experience, the stop at Barron gorge and falls, though it was a little late. As a result we didn’t get much time at Kuranda village. Butterfly park, wildlife park and the aboriginal dream walk and performances were very good! Got to see all of Australia’s iconic animals except the wallaby and wombat. The only disappointment was the skyway gondola ride was cancelled due to lightning! But they gave us a partial refund.! Overall a great day

4.00Everything was well-organized, but I could not give a 5 because the lunch was actually unpleasant; it was way too chaotic, and the food was bland and mediocre.

4.00We enjoyed overall trip. Unfortunately the view of the valley from the train was blocked by the growth of the jungle. The culture portion was very interesting.

4.00Beautiful scenic trip up and down but be warned that the train and the skyrail have no AC. Also most of the shops up in Kuranda have no AC but there are tons of cool gift shops. We skipped out on the butterfly sanctuary to keep browsing before heading to rainforeststion. We did a koala photo which was cool and the army duck tour was interesting. We didn’t realize you could leave earlier to head down the skyrail so ended up waiting around for a while. A good day trip but come with lots of water and ready for the heat. There are water refills and washrooms on the train also.
