Located about 70 km to the northwest of HCMC, Cu Chi tunnel is the miniature of the creative and transformed battle of Cu Chi people and soldiers in the fierce fight, lasting for 30 years against the aggressors for independence, freedom of the country. 9:15 am: You will arrive at the Cu Chi Tunnels site before the majority of larger bus tours arrive. Watch a brief introductory ‘propaganda’ video to the Cu Chi area. 9:30 am: Explore the tunnel site, which includes weapon and booby trap exhibitions, navigating authentic Viet Cong tunnel, visiting different underground bunkers (kitchens, meeting rooms, ammunitions etc.), a firing range and much more. Try the local cassava root that sustained Viet Cong fighters for years. 11:30 am: Enjoy a delicious traditional Vietnamese traditional lunch by the river. 12:30 am: Say goodbye to Cu Chi Tunnel and return to Ho Chi Minh City.

5.00We had such a great experience with Phat on our Cu Chi Tunnels tour. He’s super personable and easy to talk to, and he shared real, authentic stories that made the whole history feel alive. You can tell he genuinely cares about what he does. The tour was also really efficient — no wasted time, everything flowed smoothly, and he made sure we hit all the best spots without feeling rushed. 5.00Mr. Chi was a fantastic guide. From the very beginning, he clearly explained how the afternoon would unfold and shared both the history and his personal stories and perspectives on the American War. Once we arrived at the Cu Chi Tunnels, he made sure our group stayed together and continued providing detailed, insightful explanations about their history. Traveling there by speedboat was a lot of fun and saved us plenty of time. Overall, must visit if you’re in Ho Chi Minh City and a great experience!

5.00This morning we had a great experience with Mr Chi (Chister) and crew. We had booked the excursion to the Cu Chi tunnels by speedboat. Mr Chi is very knowledgeable and full of humour. The two of us and I believe all other participants enjoyed the half day excursion including the explanations on the boat, the breakfast and snack time. The lunch at the end, before taking the boat back was also very well organised and tasty. Thank you for having been a great host Mr Chi.

5.00Very interesting trip to the Cu Chi tunnels via speed boat. Early start from the city but it meant we avoided the crowds for most of the morning. Chi (our guide) was super knowledgeable and engaging, sharing his passion for Vietnam, its history and culture. He made sure we had just the right amount of time at each part of the tunnel, helping us with understanding the importance of each bit. He encouraged us to try the ‘fox-hole’ if we felt comfortable! Really enjoyed the whole trip including the lunch, and light breakfast with fruit and plenty of water. Thank you Chi 🤩
