5.0Hobbiton is a must-see if you travel to New Zealand. The whole area is magical! The movie set is so well made, with attention to detail and neat and clean. There is a gift shop, as well as food available. The food is reasonably priced and is delicious. Our Hobbiton guide was Sebastian, who knew all about the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit, even though he was one year old when the first movie came out.

5.0Simon was a personable, entertaining and informative driver/ host. The timings were just right and Hobbiton was stunning. The opportunity to look inside the Proudfoots home was fascinating.

5.0We had a great time in Hobbiton. Our driver, Brendon from Cheeky Kiwi travel was great. Long drive but worth it. Once in Hobbiton, we had enough time to have a meat pie in the cafe and then lined up for our 2:10 tour. It is a short ride by a dedicated Hobbiton tour bus to the movie set; best views on the right hand side of the bus. There are so many Hobbit holes and doors. Lovely countryside. We went inside one Hobbit Hole and it was amazing; so much detail! Lots of photo opportunities throughout the tour. The trek out to Hobbiton is well worth it, even if you are not a super fan and have just seen the movies. Tip: Watch all The Lord of the Rings movies before you come. It will make the experience better.

5.0There is walking so wear your tennis shoes. The Hobbiton tour is amazing and if you are a Hobbit/Lord of the Rings fan you will not be disappointed! We loved it.
