• One does not simply venture into NZ, and not stop and see Hobbiton

  This was an amazing and fun experience that I recommend to anyone whether a super fan who memorized the movies, or just saw the movies a few times. A once-in-a lifetime experience where you get to see the beautiful landscape for the movie and interact with the actual preserved set of this great film series. This is definitely NOT an overcrowded and commercialized tourist trap like most places. I wish big corporate/company/amusement themed attractions would follow Hobbiton’s lead on how things should be done with this. The Kiwis did an excellent job preserving the integrity and natural beauty of the set. It was worth the day trip from Auckland, and the price very reasonable considering all you get to see and interact with in Hobbiton. I would happily do this again.

  Lovely experience with the Auckland Beyond Travel Team . On-time arrival , very organized and safe ride to and from . Lots of walking and steep hills and this should be noted for future reference

  Hobbiton and Waitomo Cave & Glowworms are must see places in NZ. The Hobbiton set was magical and was really made beautifully by the filmmakers. The 2 hour tour was well worth it. Waitomo Caves & Glowworms tour was also fascinating, but I would say quite over-rated to my mind. Boat tour was just so short (about 10 mins). Overall, good way to spend a day near Auckland

  Very fun cave and glow worm boat ride. I've never seen anything like this before. Our driver gave us great narrative about the areas and culture as we drove around.
