This was by far the best activity I did in Vietnam. I wanted something that strayed away from the extreme tourist traps of the Hoi An old quarter. Great experience all around, I would recommend to anyone who finds themselves in Hoi An.

We book it last minute for three of us, the tour guide was exceptional, super friendly and flexible with our needs the whole time. Bike ride through the rice fields, food and boat tour was excellent. Will totally recommend to anyone coming and willin to do a bit more than exploring the old town.

Was a great way to experience the lifestyle of the locals and learn what they do. Our guide Trung explained everything as we rode along and was super friendly. We did some gardening and had a delicious meal as part of the experience. Don’t forget sunscreen and a hat. My wife and I are both glad we did it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 1/2 day bike tour with Nick. He is knowledgeable about the local farming practices and made the tour fun and interesting. It was a great way to see how the Hoi An locals live and work the land. We saw rice paddies, planted vegetables at a local family farm, took a fun basket boat ride to catch some crabs and ended with a delicious home cooked lunch. Highly recommend this tour!!

What a wonderful way to spend the day! My husband and I had a wonderful afternoon with Tai. You can do this tour on bikes, but since I don’t love bicycling, Tai arranged this tour in a car for us, which ended up being just as well, as it was a rainy day. This was a wonderful way to see the countryside! We got to see so many things and experience the beautiful Vietnamese culture. Again, this was a private tour, so we went at our own pace, which is just so nice to be able to do. For example, since it was raining quite hard, we opted not to do the coconut boats, which look like so much fun, and they offered to take us, but we just decided to skip it; however, the woman working there gave us a short head/neck massage instead – which was lovely! We stared off going through the community vegetable gardens, very relaxing and interesting to learn how people live and grow their food for themselves and to sell at the market. After that we went to a pottery village, which was very interesting and I got to try my hand at it and made a cute vase. After that, we went to this lovely woman’s home who taught us how she makes noodles, and again, I got to try my hand at making and cutting noodles, and she made us a yummy snack. Then we were off to learn how a family weaves mats to support their family…of course I got to have a go at that too – the Vietnamese people are so beautiful and welcoming! We then moved on to a wood carving place to see how the carvings are made and we got to try that as well and made ourselves a little souvenir to bring home. As if all of this wasn’t enough fun for one day, Tai took us to a village house for an AMAZING meal!! I think it is so lovely that he supports a local family in this way. And the food!! OH MY – it was definitely one of the best meals we had in our three week trip to Vietnam! There was so much food and Tai kept asking if we wanted more. I have a couple of dietary restrictions and it was absolutely no problem at all. The food was absolutely fresh and delicious. If you are looking for a wonderful afternoon spent in the countryside with great guide, take this tour! You will be well taken care of by Tai, and you will get a sense of the beautiful Vietnamese people and how they live day to day – a wonderful experience I will always remember.
