This was an amazing experience. Our tour guide Matt was fabulous. He was very knowledgeable and very easy to have a conversation with. He took us to so many amazing places that you wouldn’t normally see. We even had a personalized experience with koalas and kangaroos. Matt also took excellent photos of us. My husband and I had the best time.

My wife and I had the best time! Matt was very knowledgeable and friendly. At the end of the day, we both felt like Matt was a lifelong friend. His tour gave us exactly what we were looking for, beautiful scenery, wildlife and excellent memories we will cherish always. He allowed us to go at OUR pace while also providing information as to how much time we would need to be able to see his whole tour, which was great. At no time did we feel rushed, or lacking for answers to our questions. It was obvious to us that Matt truly loves his home and the wildlife by how he shared with us. We felt lucky that we chose him and his tour.

Fantastic tour! Matt showed us many sights and took us to a wildlife sanctuary where we were able to see various animals and even pet a couple. He even took some pictures of us that I cannot wait to get. I highly recommend his tour. Thanks Matt!

My husband and I had been in Australia for almost two weeks running around having a great vacation before we spent a day with Matt. And that day was fantastic. I mention the fact that we had been there for two weeks already to emphasize that our delight with the day that Matt planned was not merely the vacation honeymoon effect. We genuinely had an awesome day of discovery, and Matt is a thoughtful and personable guide. From cuddling koalas and other strange and beautiful creatures to walking along a breathtaking sandstone cliffed shoreline, he brought us from one cool thing to another, but without ever making us feel rushed. In fact, at one gorgeous beach spot Matt offered up several additional stops that we could make (wine, chocolates, etc.) if interested. We weren’t especially inclined, so Matt brought us to one of his “secret” spots. I won’t describe it, other than to say it was horrific and fascinating! Totally memorable. He also managed to snap some pretty decent pictures of us throughout the day. I’d give this tour a solid 10 out of 10. The only detail that was a bit of a letdown was the horseback riding, and that’s clearly not Matt’s doing. The horses were great, and the forest was lovely, but because I was hoping for some excitement on the trail (galloping, cantering), I was bummed that we only walked. It was a nice experience but sort of dull, as I have ridden numerous times in my life. Nevertheless, the tour Matt put together was great. Highly recommend.

This was an amazing experience! Our humor really matched Matt, our guide, so we had a lot of fun together! I'd highly recommend this tour to anyone, especially if you're staying in the city but want to compress seeing all of Australia's diverse terrain in a day. You will not regret taking this tour! We started our day with a short bushwalk to learn about plants that aboriginals used for medicinal value. We then went horseback riding for a few hours and even saw two wild wallabies darting in the woods! Followed by a conservation park with free roaming roos. We then had a wonderful lunch at a gorgeous cove and did a little hiking on the rocky beach/cliffs. We topped it off with seeing a natural flying fox colony!

Highly recommend this tour! Our guide/driver Matt was amazing! He was very informative and friendly and was willing to take us wherever we wanted to go! We were open to all his suggestions and he did not disappoint. We had THE best time at the animal preserve and the meat pies were amazing! He even took us to a surprise spot that was truly unique and unforgettable. If you want to what it is, book your tour with Matt!😉

Top 10 things we learned while touring NSW AUS with Matthew “Sydney Guided Tours” NOV2024 10. In Australia they have two holidays a year, “going up the coast” and “going down the coast.” 9. Every phone booth in Australia is free. (I especially loved calling Santa from one outside the Patonga Boathouse Restaurant.) 8. Bush soap is made with waddle seed leaves and water.(He pulled over and gave us a demonstration ; ). 7. TREES GLORIOUS TREES! The towering and majestic conifers (I’m totally enamored with) that dot the country side and beaches are Norfolk Island Pines. The other trees we found absolutely stunning displaying intense purple blossoms that paint the ground with their near magical purple blooms, are Jacarandas. 6. One of Australians’ favorite fish, Barramundi is “nothing but Asian sea bass.” I quite enjoyed mine with the crispiest, tastiest “chips”(ff) in all of Australia, at Patonga Boathouse Restaurant, which also has thee tastiest raspberry jam on the planet, aaand the loveliest indoor/outdoor bathroom. 5. Kangaroos and emus can't walk backwards and that's why they're on the Australian coat of arms. 4. The fairy penguins on Lyon Island now dwell in concrete bunkers made by the locals after a Great fire killed many of them. 3. Lapwing plover birds have thorns in their wings and they attack school children on the way to school ... but they're only protecting their eggs! 2. The schools have locked down drills once a year for snakes. The children have to go inside until the snake catcher comes and rids them of the poisonous snake. And the # 1 thing we learned from Matt while touring NSW Australia….Drum roll please… 1. Kangaroos do fire drills (at the Wildlife Refuge ; ). Bonus tip: Compared to the bats under Congress Ave bridge in Austin, TX, the bats in AUStralia are monstrous!

A tailor-made experience entirely according to our wishes! A real full day of horse riding, petting Arnold the koala, gin and wine tasting, super tasty lunch at the beach. The guide even went to get his surfboard when he heard that we hadn’t tried surfing, and then made sure that we all got to catch at least one wave each. Extra plus for nostalgic trip when we played music in the car 😊! A guide who is truly passionate about his job!
