Join us for a fun day of paddling and hiking on the beautiful Rio Grande through Big Bend National Park! The Rio Grande through Hot Springs Canyon makes for a fun and active way to see and learn about the region and make the most of your visit to Big Bend. Guests can expect professional guides, riverside lunch, a visit to the famous langford hot springs, and local interpretation and information.
Most trips are done in Canoes and Kayaks and you will have the ability to paddle your own boat while on this experience. While river levels are low most of the sections may be paddled, but all guests should expect to get out and pull over shoals from time to time.

Guests can expect a fun and active day of paddling and exploring led by an expert local guide and a delicious riverside lunch included. Please note that if you do not already have a park pass that the entrance is not covered by our ticket price. The shortest a pass is valid for one week and once you have your pass we encourage you to take advantage of visiting the park as many times as possible during your stay. Please bring your pass with you on the day of the trip (it is usually taped to vehicle window).

5.00Tranquility and solitude on the river. Get the lunch ! Was very fresh and tasty. We stopped at the hot springs . Saw horses and cattle and turtles

5.00This was an awesome canoe trip and we will definitely do it again. Great scenery, amazing guide and delicious lunch…not to mention a dip in the Hot Springs. Highly recommend!

5.00I booked the Hot Springs Full Day tour, but got placed on the FullDay Colorado Canyon tour and was NOT disappointed. It waa so beautiful, pictures cannot justify the vastness of the canyon. The guide (Rye) was amazing. I went by myself so he allowed me to ride with him in the canoe. He was very friendly and patient with myself and the whole crew. It was a LONG day, but we did a hike also and had a great lunch. The only bothersome thing were the abundance of paper wasps, so if your allergic, may not be the place for you. They are prepared with benadryl and emergency meds though. 5 STARS for the Colorado Canyon with Rye and Desert Shops!!!

5.00We had a blast on the river with Billy and Sierra. Id definitely add a full day Hot Springs canoe trip to your itenerary. Seeing the park from the perspective of the Rio Grande was amazing and the kids absolutely loved the flexibility of jumping out and swimming in the deep spots and soaking in the hot springs.

5.00We did the full day Hot Springs Canyon trip with Jane as our guide. It was a great experience and Jane was an outstanding guide. It was a beautiful way to see this section of the park. FYI, this is also a great excursion for kids; 12 and 15 year old boys loved it. Jane was so full of expertise and knowledge about the park and everything we were seeing, and she expertly guided the boys in navigating the fun turns and bends in the river. The boys loved swimming in the Rio Grande and the fact that they were on the border between two countries. 5 stars and huge thumbs up for Further Adventures and Jane.

5.00Great way to see Big Bend with little time. Billy was such an amazing guide. We felt right at home while he was telling stories and facts about the town and river.

5.00Fabulous tour with Jane. We had a blast and enjoyed all the knowledge she had about the area. Great picnic near the hot springs and spectacular vores on the way. Also great for kids (12 and 14 years)

5.00We had an incredible time on our canoe trip down the Rio Grande in Big Bend NP. It was easy going, & a ton of fun. I loved seeing all of the birds, horses, & donkeys alongside the river. Our guide, Billy, was the best. He knew so much about the plant life, animals, history, & culture. He took really great care of us. We stopped to enjoy the scenic views, a soak at the Hot Springs, & a really nice lunch prepared special for us. I would highly recommend experiencing Big Bend by river if you have the chance. We were in excellent hands with Billy & Further Adventures, & we will definitely book another trip with them the next time we are in town.
You should canoe the Rio Grande!

5.00We had a wonderful time canoeing the Rio Grande and enjoyed the day on the river and a soak in the Hot Springs too. Our superb guide Billy Miller really enhanced our paddle with his knowledge of the flora and history and culture of the area. He was helpful and attentive and we were so happy to out on the river in this beautiful area. Highly recommend! Not a challenging paddle, at least during this low river stage.
