  I was charged in USD without any clear, upfront disclosure during the booking process. At no point before confirming payment was it clearly or prominently stated that the charge would be processed in USD rather than the local currency. I only learned this after the transaction was completed, when the charge appeared on my card. What makes this especially misleading is that the amount is advertised at a level very similar to the operator’s direct price, creating the clear impression of a legitimate, comparable deal. Only after payment did it become apparent that, due to the undisclosed USD charge, I had paid substantially more than the actual price. This has nothing to do with bank conversion fees—the issue is the inflated amount itself. After this experience, I strongly advise others to avoid booking through this platform and instead book directly with the operator, where pricing and currency are transparent and the same service can be obtained at a much lower cost. The experience itself was excellent — the issue here is entirely with TripAdvisor’s misleading pricing and billing practices.

  If you are looking for a high thrills scenic view of Huka Falls this is your ticket! The close up view, the feeling of the rapids under the boat, topped with a high speed boat ride down the river! It was amazing. The guide was funny and engaging, we felt safe the entire time.

  What a great experience! The jet boat drivers are very well trained, and know exactly how close they can approach the rocks at high speed while still keeping the riders safe. Make sure that you are prepared to get soaking wet during one of the numerous 360 degree turns that the boat takes. the stop at Huka Falls was absolutely beautiful.

  Hakafalls jet boat ride WOW what an experience loads of 360 turns absolutely brilliant make sure you go on a empty stomach. you get to see the falls right up close our driver stopped right next to the falls so you could take photos. Then off again doing 360 turns at speed 🙈 be prepared to get wet specially if you sit at the back.

  The ultimate fun and to see some beautiful scenery. If you want to know what it feels like to do a 360 turn and some close action in a jet boat with beautiful scenery this is the one to do.

  Wow! What an experience - if you’re in the market some high energy thrills then these guys are your go to! It’s definitely a must do on the agenda when visiting Taupo. My 12yr old son was very skeptical but finished the trip and wanted to do it again and again! Go on - you won’t regret it!

  Incredible! Even exceeded my expectations. Its an absolute blast and must go when in taupo. The water is so brilliantly light blue and refreshing. Fabulous to the 10th power.
