Enjoy a 13-hour trip to one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites, the Bernina TRAIN railway, passing before along Lake Como and a beautiful Alpine valley. We stop in a charming lakeshore village and, possibly, later by a winery or old cellar experience or a cafè!

In Tirano you have around one hour for your lunch and then we board the Bernina TRAIN that climbs the Swiss Alps.

We get off at one the highest point to enjoy snowcaps and glaciers view.

Afterward we head to St. Moritz where you have about 45 minutes to explore this fashionable resort, one of the most well known in the world.

At the end of it we go back to Lake Como, through another spectacular valley in Switzerland, from where you board either the regular train or the minibus for a ride on your return to Milan.

Short walking with stairs may be involved, frequent stops for bathroom may not be guaranteed, it is a MINIMUM 13 hour round trip tour from Milan Central station and some parts of the driving are on a twisty mountain road

We used it during Golden Week in May 2026. It was a very good tour. Our guide, RAFFAELE, was attentive and classy and made the tour very comfortable. I don't like English, but he communicated politely without trouble, so I had no problem at all. Thank you, Raffaele. I had a good time and was comfortable! This tour was reserved for the entire second class of the Bernina Express! There were only 10 people in total, four of our family and six others, so we had one person in each box seat for four. Four family members in four boxes. I was able to move between the left and right windows without hesitation to take pictures. Besides, the second class cars have windows that open so the view is good and the photos are beautiful! It was a great answer not to make it a first-class vehicle tour. I highly recommend it. You should include this tour if you're staying in Milan! Enjoy a visit to Lake Como and the winery, a beautiful Swiss train window and a quick stroll around St. Moritz!

I would recommend this trip to everyone. The scenery was spectacular and our guide, Raphael was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. He did everything to make us comfortable and the unscheduled winery tour was a nice bonus. Luca, the tour organizer, planned a well organized excursion and kept us informed with timely updates. Well worth the money.

We had the best day with our guide Raffaele. It is a long trip but so worth it. Everything we saw was gorgeous. Our guide was knowledgeable and was fun to be around. We were grouped with three other couples, which was a nice size group. Raffaele took us to some of the most beautiful places. We are very glad we chose this tour.
Would I do this again? 100% YES!

This was beyond anything I imagined. Most stunning views on the train. My husband and I were two out of eight in the group so perfect small group. Tour guide Rafielle (probably misspelled name) was truly such a nice person and very knowledgeable. He asked if we wanted to stop at the winery for a quick tour which we enjoyed and was able to pick up a couple bottles of wine. Every leg of the trip was well worth it. The true beauty of St Moritz was the train trip through the alps. Would I do this again? 100% YES!

Antonella was a wonderful guide for this day trip into Switzerland. The train was a magical experience; I’ve never willingly got subjected myself to the cold for so long as I did on this trip, but I simply couldn’t stop popping my head out the train window to soak in the view and inhale the fresh alpine air. The other stops on our trip were still nice, but the train ride really was the highlight of the adventure. Be sure to stop in at Läderach to stock up on artisanal chocolate one you reach St Moritz!

Would definitely recommend! Long day with lots of stops. Great to see Lake Como in the off season. Plenty of time in various stops for coffee, lunch, shopping, etc. The views from the train were spectacular! Luca was a great guide! Very knowledgeable and adapted quickly to local train strikes. A great way to spend a day outside of Milan!
