Enjoy gently kayaking on Lake Kawaguchiko with
breathtaking Mt. Fuji views, and capture unforgettable
moments with photo opportunities from the water.
This activity is suitable even for beginners as our English-speaking guide will kindly explain how to paddle.
*This is NOT rental, we will guide you and take you to the most beautiful places on the lake
The tour flow is as follows:
1) Before start time - Come to reception (fill in the agreement form)
2)Approx. 15 minutes - Guide will explain how to paddle and the potential dangers for Kayaking Activity
3)Approx. 15 mins -Practice paddling
4)1.5 hour - Kayaking tour
Total 2 hour tour includes equipment, bottled water per person, and picture-taking by our guide.
*We start kayaking on time, so please come earlier for preparation.

5.00We had an amazing time kayaking with our guide CJ! He was super knowledgeable and answered all our questions about the lakes and Fuji and we had the most fun. We got lucky with the weather but even on a cloudy day it’s nice to have a relaxing day on the water. Make sure to wear sunscreen lol. I somehow burnt in 13 degree weather

5.00As a family of 4, our experience was absolutely amazing. CJ was especially great as a guide. He ensured the trip was extremely fun and kept the right balance of enjoying Fuji and the scenery while also keeping us informed of key facts. It was a very peaceful experience, thanks to CJ, and we would highly recommend for folks to try this when they are in Kawaguchiko next.

5.00CJ is warm, very friendly, enthusiastic, and professional. He was my tour guide for the kayaking activity on Lake Kawaguchiko. CJ is knowledgeable about the local culture and shared stories on the natural history of Mount Fuji, the people, their culture, and beliefs. He made the kayaking activity a lot of fun. He was also flexible, and we got started early since I showed up a few minutes early, which was great. It was one of those gorgeous days with vivid blue skies and an unobstructed view of majestic Mount Fuji. Although the weather was a little brisk and windy, I stayed dry and warm since the company (Nature Base) outfitted me with a warm waterproof jacket and pants, which I appreciated very much! CJ also provided recommendations on things to do in the area, and I was glad I followed one of his suggestions.

5.00The experience kayaking around Fuji was incredible! Obviously Fuji is a major draw and is prominent, but the rest of the area is incredible as well! The pace was no issue and was kept conversational. CJ was a wonderful guide and I had a blast chatting with him as I soaked it all in. If you are on the fence, I highly recommend it!

5.00I had the absolute highlight of my trip in and around Tokyo here at Naturabase. When I booked a few months ago, the team reached out to me to inform me i had booked a Japanese only kayak tour and accommodated by adjusting my time to one with an English guide. That's when I knew this place was top notch. And then there's my guide, CJ. This guy was phenomenal. The vibes were immaculate. And even though Mt Fuji was cloudy on the day of my tour, CJ was actually the highlight! We paddled and talked and he gave me a wonderful and informative tour with easy banter and lots of funny jokes. We even went to an island a little further from the normal route and both of us explored it for the first time. There was a lovely little shrine and gate on the island, and I'm sure if Mt Fuji was visible the views would have been spectacular! I cannot compliment the team enough. I got some great food recommendations for the rest of my stay, and great photos from our journey on the water. I would recommend you get your kayak or bike rentals from the team here. Absolutely great and will come back again, on a clear day and see Mt Fuji peak.

5.00Awesome experience, one of the highlights of my Japan trip so far! Would 100% recommend. Big shoutout to Grahame for being an amazing guide and sharing some cool stories and facts about Mt Fuji and surrounding areas.

5.00Our family had a fantastic time kayaking amongst the beautiful scenery. We were lucky to have a clear view of Mt Fuji which made it extra special. Grahame was our guide and he was very welcoming and ensured we all had a great time. He shared lots of information which really helped us to appreciate the history and surrounding areas. We were provided warm waterproof trousers, jackets and boots so we were nice and warm. I would recommend to all, it’s very relaxing on the lake and suitable for children.
