  The tour was very informative as well as fun. Alex is very knowledgeable on the history of Panama. I really enjoyed the Church and Museum. Alex made the experience fun! I would definitely do another tour with him.

  

  

  

  

• Casco Viejo is charming

  After a rough start when company staff didn't show up, a bilingual guide stepped in to lead the entire group. It was great to have Casco Viejo's past, present and future explained. Touring all areas gave us an appreciation of it's history and museums we wanted to visit. I'd like to return after all the renovations have been completed and cars have been restricted from certain areas as proposed.

  The real highlight of this tour was our guide Alex. He grew up in Panama City (Casco Viejo), and his memories of his childhood here was the most potent aspect of the tour. The tour itself was well-paced and interesting, especially the history of the city itself. As an educator, I respected the fact that Alex has continued to educate himself about his city. Lastly, he recommended a seafood place for lunch (Finca Del Mar) and it was one of the best meals I had all week. I saw Alex a couple days later in town, and he remembered me! Great tour. Great guide.

  I had an amazing experience with Alex during our time in Casco Viejo. He was not only knowledgeable but also incredibly engaging. Alex made the entire tour fun by cracking jokes, sharing personal stories, and making everyone feel comfortable. He explained the history of Casco Viejo in a way that was interesting and easy to follow, bringing the streets and buildings to life with his storytelling. You can tell he truly enjoys what he does, and his positive energy made the tour unforgettable. If you’re visiting Panama, I definitely recommend taking a tour with Alex. you’ll learn a lot and have a great time while doing it!

  This was an enjoyable tour about Casco Vieja. Tour guide Alex knew his stuff, was eager to answer any questions and had a sense of humor that made the tour fun and time well spent. Highly recommended. Bonus tip: wear comfortable shoes and light clothing as it does get a bit humid and hot.

  The experience was way worse than my expectations - I almost felt like i got scammed by the 37 dollars I paid and I’m so confused why there are so many 5 star reviews after the tour. As context I did many walking tours before, this one was very bottom of my experiences so far - the guide was a little late, there was no intro, the guide started to narrative in a very unconstructed way - he pointed out the small stories when he grew up here and there, with showing us some old stones and remaining. It was cool until things are getting repetitive - I don’t think people care much about where guide bought groceries or played soccer. He took us to a couple free museums that nobody cares about, and during the museum tours he just played with his phone. He kept saying he is knowledgeable (which I believe it) but he doesn’t share much knowledge about the history of Panama unless you ask. But the thing is without at least some overview, how do people even start to ask questions? After like one hour the guide brought us to a tourist shop and said he needs to rest so we can shop there for 15min. I’ve never been forced to shop during a walking tour - this usually happens in full day tours, but for a 2h tour, really??? I ended up telling the guide I have to leave early and left the tour from there, so my review will only represent the first half of the experience. This is also the first time I had to leave a tour early, it totally felt like a waste of time to continue at that time, again felt like I got scammed by how much I paid - the tour probably worth 10 dollars at most? Another possibility is the guide is tired/ not in a good mood today, but we paid decent amount for the tour end of the day so no excuse.

  We took the walking tour with Alex on 11/25, and it was awesome! As someone who grew up in Casco Viejo, Alex knows a ton about many different eras in Casco’s history. My wife and I both enjoyed his stories about old Casco and how different it is today. Highly recommended, thanks a lot Alex!!
