Once at the top, our local guides from Valley Isle Excursions will set you up for the best experience—pointing out incredible viewing locations, sharing tips for seeing the sunrise, and telling stories about the history of the island.
After sunrise, we’ll take a short tour of the remainder of Haleakala National Park and the nearby ranch lands.

5.00This experience was definitely one of a kind and a MUST DO! Was a little skeptical because we got picked up at 2AM but it was well worth it. Don’t worry about pickup time, you have a bunch of time to sleep when driving up ( the drivers don’t really talk when going up which I appreciated). Once we got to the top we had an hour to burn until the sun came up. I know what your thinking, an hour in the freezing cold dark!? Honestly the hour flew by and soon enough we started to see some colors before the sun even came up. They also give you ponchos that are lined on the inside which definitely helped with the cold. I believe this is the only company that does this because I didn’t see anyone else with these. We had the best spot in my opinion and I think that’s why the tour starts so early.The view was insane, I felt like I was in a dream ( see photos). On the way down we were educated by the guides who were very knowledgeable about the island and area. We then stopped at a beautiful place for breakfast. The guides were amazing and very friendly from the start. Definitely a core memory for my partner and I. All in all, I know it’s pricey but so worth it!!!!!

5.00We had an amazing time and wonderful sunrise experience. Be ready to wake up very early, be tired and rest when you get back. Knowing that, this is worth it and the views are awesome. The crew was super knowledgeable and friendly. I was ready to head back to the hotel but the breakfast was terrific. A unique experience and critical to get the parkas! It is cold up there.
A must do adventure! Simply amazing!

5.00Billy and Abe were amazing hosts! They gave historical information and general information that was interesting and helpful! They were knowledgeable and natives of the area! The views of the stars were absolutely amazing at Haleakala! The sunrise was stunning! You truly witnessed God’s handiwork at Haleakala! The restaurant where we ate breakfast was great!! The service was excellent and the servers were extremely friendly! This is an absolute must activity to do if you are on the island of Maui! Kudos to Billy, Abe, and all the restaurant staff!! Ted and I had an awesome experience!!
