Te Anau Downs
Following departure form Te Anau, we have a 25min drive to Te Anau Downs. If the weather is appropriate, we stop here for a photo and sightseeing looking across Lake Te Anau and down the Middle Fjord.
Mirror Lakes Walk
Following a 20min drive, we arrive at Mirror Lakes. This short 2-minute nature walk on well formed tracks and boardwalks will have you at the tranquil Mirror Lakes, the backdrop of the Earl Mountains behind them. This is a challenge for any travelling photographer to capture the essence of the lakes - their mirror reflection.

5.00Fantastic tour with Luxe tour-our guide was amazing, friendly and talkative - did know lots about plants, flowers, Milford Sounds etc-comfort was really luxe-bus with great space for everybody, water bottles, towels provided. We had an amazing boat trip at Milford sound and then again 2 stops at the way back to look at the amazing nature reserve.

5.00Great guide and van driver. Good pacing of tour with some interesting stops on the way down. Comfortable bus with plenty of leg room. Appreciated the water bottle. Comfortable boat with plenty of room to view the sound from both inside and out.

5.00Had an excellent day trip to Milford Sound with Luxe Tours. Nicky our guide was amazing! So knowledgeable and friendly. Booking was easy, pick up was on time, and the Mercedes Van was luxury! Did some great stops along the way - nothing too strenuous, but places we probably wouldn’t have stopped at if we were driving ourselves. The cruise was on the Milford Haven boat - which was very nice, and heaps of room for everyone (unlike some of the other crowded vessels). Couldn’t ask for more really. Would definitely recommend Luxe Tours if you are in Te Anau and looking for a great day trip to Milford Sound (we were so happy we didn’t drive ourselves - would have been much less informative and more stressful on the wining roads)

5.00We had an amazing day at Fjordland National Park/Milford Sound. Andres, our guide, was funny, knowledgeable and kind! He also helped organize an impromptu helicopter ride which was an incredible experience. If you want to have a more personal, calm experience on the way to Milford Sound definitely book with LUXE tours!

From start to finish, the entire experience was seamless, professional, and incredibly enjoyable. Shoutout to Jonno! Our driver, Jonno, was the absolute highlight of the trip. His knowledge of the Fiordland area is extensive—we didn't just see the sights; we learned the history, geology, and local stories that you simply won't find in a guidebook. It’s clear Jonno is passionate about the region, and his storytelling made the landscape truly come alive. Perfectly Paced Itinerary What sets Luxe Tours apart is their commitment to the journey, not just the destination. Jonno ensured we made frequent stops at breathtaking spots that we likely would have driven right past on our own. We stopped at Mirror Lakes - perfectly timed for those iconic reflections. Waterfalls & Lakes - we saw everything from towering cascades to hidden gems off the beaten path. Plus Jonno knew exactly where to pull over for the best views, giving us plenty of time to snap photos without ever feeling rushed. The driving was exceptionally smooth. Navigating the winding alpine roads and the Homer Tunnel can be daunting, but Jonno handled the minibus with total ease. A great trip which I would definitely recommend!

5.00An excellent tour from start to finish. The guide/driver Jono was very professional and knowledgeable , and went the extra yard to make the whole trip a great experience for all on the trip( small group). The transport was luxurious with free water bottles stop for coffee and muffins, viewings stops, not forgetting the amazing cruise up the Milford Sound.

5.00Amazing. Modern and comfortable bus. Pick up from our motel was very convenient. Knowledgable guide who knew lots of great photo spots to stop along the way. All the inclusions are fantastic. Small group is the way to go to get the personal touch. Reserved eating area on the cruise allowed us to access prime position on the boat for the cruise. Morning tea and lunch were delicious. You have to do this tour if you are visiting Milford Sound. You won't regret it.
