We can enjoy the attractions without encountering many people or waiting in long queues. This way, we can maximize our time and fully immerse ourselves in the experience. ● Starting our morning hike up to Mua cave early helps us beat the heat of the day. We can enjoy the stunning panoramic view of the area while feeling refreshed and energized. Mua Caves

After a 2-hour car journey from Hanoi, it's time for us to engage in some physical activity by ascending the magnificent natural Great Wall of Mua mountain, as well as exploring the Mua cave. This location offers the most optimal spot to admire the breathtaking panoramic view of the surrounding area. Additionally, embarking on an early hike would allow us to avoid the oppressive heat and the large crowds that gather later in the day. As the day progresses, the heat intensifies and the site becomes heavily thronged by hundreds of thousands of tourists, all due to its viral fame. If you don’t like the touristy hike, alternatively, we have a 300-step, rugged hidden gem hike at the holy and secret mountain where you could feel the serenity of nature and breathtaking panoramic views of the mountains, forest, and surrounding villages.

    We loved this tour! This was our favorite thing on our trip to Hanoi. Hiu is the best tour guide, he explained the history well and answered all our questions. He’s also got a great sense of humor. The lunch was A+, we got a 8 course meal.

    We booked a day trip through Hanoi Backstreets Tours. We were picked up at our Hanoi hotel and driven to Ninh Binh. What a day! We climbed the 500 steps to see beautiful views, saw the lotus gardens, took a fun boat ride through the mountains, visited a pagoda and ended the day on scooters. They also provided a delicious lunch Our tour guide, “Q”, educated us along the way. He was a wealth of information and answered any and all of our questions. There were only four of us ( 2 couples). I highly recommend this tour! And Q was a great guide. We’re very happy that we decided to visit Vietnam and take a tour while there.

    What an incredible day in Ninh Bình. The scenery was absolutely stunning, from the peaceful little boat tour through the rivers and limestone mountains to the beautiful temple visit surrounded by nature and history. Every moment felt authentic and unforgettable. A special thanks to our guide Quan, who made the experience exceptional. His English is perfect, conversations with him were genuinely interesting, and he shared so much about Vietnamese culture and daily life with humor and intelligence. It never felt like a scripted tour. The local food was fantastic, fresh and delicious, and the solo scooter ride through the countryside was one of the highlights of the trip. Seeing the landscapes this way made the whole experience feel even more immersive. If you visit Ninh Bình, I highly recommend this tour, and especially Quan as a guide. Truly one of the best experiences of my trip to Vietnam.

    Had a fantastic time with Tim during the tour. He was very insightful and took us to some cool places. We learned a lot about Vietnam's culture, history, and some fun facts. We got picked up straight from the hotel and began our journey. Riding the riverboats was a highlight and it was cool to see all the ancient temples. Oh! And the van was always air-conditioned and trust me you'll need that. We were also served a very nice lunch at a family restaurant and id recommend getting the mango smoothie as it was delicious. Can't say enough good things
