Don’t follow the herd. Forget green curry and pad Thai, that's central Thai fare. Hop on board our private songthaew truck for four hours of feasting. Hit up the street eats and fresh markets across the city gorging on 15+ Northern Thai tastings. Many are unaware that this used to be the Lanna Kingdom well before it was part of Thailand and its food influences come from neighbouring Myanmar, China and beyond. We don't want to spoil the surprise, but some drool-worthy highlights include the zingy nam ngiaw noodles, the meaty larb salads, the sizzling lemongrass sai oua sausages and piquant nam prik relishes among many more lip-smackingly good tastings at places you'd struggle to find alone.

The food was mostly delicious, but the guide made me uncomfortable with her unsolicited comments about me and ruined the experience for me. It’s extremely unprofessional and would recommend using an alternative tour

Tree was undoubtedly the BEST TOUR GUIDE! He was so knowledgeable and funny. I really loved this tour! Some times the difficulties of traveling solo is you want to try so many things but don’t want to waste your food. This was a great experience to do that! Actually hit up one of the pork belly spots I had saved on my list so it was a great way to check it out!! 1000000000/10 recommend! Was also able to switch times when I had accidentally made a wrong booking. This company was so accommodating and nice! Riding around town in a red Songthaew was a nice touch.

I had a fantastic time and learned a lot. This was largely thanks to our guide, whose name escapes me (a lovely woman with a name beginning with "M"): she had a great sense of when to speak and when to allow us time to talk among ourselves. When she did speak, she humbly educated us about not only the region's food, but its wider history. The food itself was excellent, especially the water buffalo and the Burmese curry.

Drove around to different places and learned so much about medicinal elements of Thai food and culture.

Best food tour I’ve done as far as variety and getting to know the food culture of the region. From dishes to fruits sooo much food!
