Enjoy a 90-minute Dolphin Discovery Cruise with Moonshadow Cruises on the turquoise blue waters of Port Stephens, a veritable marine wonderland. This extraordinary natural harbour is home to some 140 bottle nose dolphins who will entrance you by their playful and intelligent nature as they frolic around the boat or surf the bow waves. Be mindful to also look out for other wildlife including pelicans, sea eagles, the occasional seal and of course humpback whales during the winter months. In the warmer months you might want to bring a swimming costume to take a plunge in the boom net at the rear of the boat - just make sure you have a change of clothes. Enjoy the lunch on cruise with beautiful surroundings. Vegetarian option available.

Gordon drove for us, explained in detail, was very patient, both in Chinese and English, explained history, humanities, very good, and will choose this tour next time.

Our guide Chen provided great information about Australia from leaving Sydney to go to port Stephens and then facts about the koalas at the sanctuary. He also provided plenty of snacks from ice creams to Oreo’s. The fish and chips was very tasty and we also saw lots of dolphins. To finish off the sand boarding was very fun too!

This was a fabulous tour and lots to see and do. The dolphin boat ride was nice and easy with a few dolphin sitings. The highlight of the day was the trip to the Koala Sanctuary. The work they do there is so important. Yan was a fabulous guide throughout the day

Saw many dolphins and one close encounter! Love watching the koalas at the sanctuary. Sliding down the Sand dune was so fun. Our guide Yan was great. Very insightful.

What an incredible tour! We saw a group of wild dolphins (around 50!!!!!) closely, went exciting sand boarding, and even spotted a koala jumping and climbing in the trees in Koala Sanctuary. Our guide, Yan, was so nice and helpful, making the experience even better. It was a fantastic day and worth every penny. Highly recommend!

The dolphin cruise was disappointing since we saw very few dolphins. Lunch on board the boat was good. Koala Sanctuary was very interesting and cool learning about rescued koalas. Sandboarding was crazy fun! A 1st for my hubby and I and we really enjoyed that activity. Fun for all ages!

Gordon was our tour guide and was polite and informative and open to questions. He was punctual keeping us on task without feeling rushed. We saw dolphins on our excursion as well as koalas, a favorite.
