Pick up from Ports of Tauranga and travel 40 mins to Okere Falls.
Walk down through our native forest to the waterfall that is on the Kaituna River – you may be lucky enough to see some of our local rafters coming over the fall. Next travel into town and head out to visit 3 of our lakes. Stop at the lookout between Blue and Green lakes. Stop at Tarawera Lake lookout for picture opportunities and visit Rangiruru Bay to take some pics on the jetty.
Travel into town and walk through the Redwood Forest at your own leisure. At your own expense you can take a tour through the forest from above (this takes 45 minutes). Redwoods Treewalk offers suspended bridges high amongst the trees, adorned with intricate wooden lanterns and history of the trees on each platform between the trees.
Head to Rotorua Lakefront/Sulphur Point, take a stroll through Government Gardens, wander through Kuirau Park, and have a foot soak in the heated foot pools and take in the bubbling mud pools.

5.00This day was fantastic, we would highly recommend it. Danny, our tour guide took us to many fascinating places. He was very knowledgeable and shared many interesting stories. He has a great sense of humour and thoroughly enjoyed answering our questions. He was a phenomenal guide, probably even better than Carleen, who is also highly praised. A great company to book a tour with!

Everything was well-organized, and we were conveniently picked up and dropped off right at the cruise terminal. The guide provided just the right amount of information—helpful without being overwhelming. A great way to see the highlights of the region in a short time. Highly recommend.

4.00Nice tour around the Rotorua area. Some stops more exciting than others. On and off the bus many times but beautiful stop at the Whakarewarewa Forest.

4.00We loved the Redwood Forest and being out in nature. However there were quite a few steps on one of the walks.

5.00This was an awesome tour! Linda was our tour guide. We traveled with friends and family.. our elderly mother was with us and Linda was very patient and kind towards her. The most exciting part of the tour was the cave and the waterfall! The walk through the Redwood forest was calming and peaceful! Such a lovely experience. Linda’s assistant Maisy was an excellent tour guide during this tour! We saw a lot for this six hour scenic tour!.. definitely worth the money!

5.00We were taken to several places of interest today. We were taken to see the geothermal pools Our guide Aaron was excellent keeping the group entertained and integrating as one throughout the day. A delicious meal overlooking the lake. Absolutely fantastic day with memories to last a lifetime thank you

5.00We really enjoyed our tour with Lloyd. We were doing a cruise and had a port stop in Tauranga and he was there holding a sign with our names. He was patient, kind, easy-going and very informative. I feel like he chose some hidden spots, gems only a local would know. He is a wealth of knowledge and many times on the tour, I felt like he really enjoyed giving tours and spreading this knowledge. He also was so kind to bring us some local snacks. I do recommend this tour. This tour does include some time in a car, but it was comfortable and convenient

4.00Fun day to relax. A lot of the tour is drive by or quick stop for a picture. We did get to stop for a short walk through a wooded trail and a cave. We also got to walk to hot springs to soak our legs. Our tour guide gave us chocolate treats and water bottles a couple of times which was a treat. We were given a chance to pay to do a redwood forest walk ($84 NZ) which was super fun as you get to climb to raised swinging bridges amongst redwood trees. The rest of the shuttle bus guests were driven to town for a lunch. This excursion is great for those seeking a mellow easy day or have kids. (Other than the optional forest drop off for $) the walks are slow and meandering.
