The full experience is Great. Read full review for the Goods and The Bads. Brittany our tour operator was fab. the Cruise was good. The lunch as requested for me VEG was decent. Weather was Best. Stops were enough to make bathroom runs. Since we were picked up last we got the last back seats and in the first 2 hrs our backs and butt were sore. Brittany was amazing and requested other passengers to shuffle throughout the rest of the journey. The drive is too long to and fro. So if you can afford it then do a flight on the way back. It is pretty windy for the first 30 mins and again for the last bit too. So those who have a trouble with windy roads be ware. Rest all good.

We had an awesome time on this trip. We were so lucky to get perfect weather and conditions the entire way, and the cruise was stunning with amazing waterfalls, seals and views. I also loved the actual drive to and from Milford Sound - the lookouts, and alpaca cafe, and the views of Wakatipu were a stunning addition. Our guide Chris was so knowledgeable and helpful. He had so much information about everything, and made the entire trip so amazing. He even made us taste a spicy lead used by Maori for adding flavour, answered all our questions about New Zealand, and made us all feel engaged and happy with the trip! The lunch was also superb - we were all vegetarian and we're very happy about how much care was there in planning it out for us. So glad I found this daytrip, was a perfect day!

Incredible experience. Sam was a great guide - super knowledgeable and friendly. Views and stops were fantastic. Worth it! Only thing I'd say was bus was a little small...but it did let us get to places the big tour buses couldn't.

Martin was a great guide and host! Had many stops on the way to Milford Sound including ones where nobody else was there. The picnic lunch accommodated many restrictions and actually pretty nice. I enjoyed the comfort and intimacy of a smaller tour. I would recommend. Milford Sound is stunning! It was a perfect sunny day, but I agree it would be beautiful in any weather. I bet it's magical in a misty fog as well.

Spectacular. We cruised next to a waterfall, saw seals and the amazing fiords. We drove thru fields of lupin, native beech trees in Fiordland national park and got to see a native Kea.
