  Jason was good and extremely talented & entertaining. He told us the history of the Milford. He stopped few places and share his experiences with us.

  Absolutely fantastic- from the very start, we knew we were in for a special treat! Cheeky Kiwi was a great organization to work with, answered all of my questions in a very timely fashion. The bus was very clean, spotless windows to see out of and quite comfortable. Our guide, Martin welcomed us warmly and made us feel valued. It is apparent that he not only enjoys his job, but he loves New Zealand and loves to show off its beauty, and appreciated that we were visiting his country. He covered all the bases: on time, safe driver, knowledgeable, funny and great photographer! He shared information on the route, the towns, terrain, the cultures, the languages, geology, weather… his commentary was spot on, kept our attention, not too lengthy or rambling. The numerous stops were just amazing, and being in a smaller bus allowed us to make those stops, for great opportunities to take photos and further discuss what we were seeing. The bigger buses are not allowed to pull off the road for pictures, and we watched as they drove on by. ***if you are reading this, take this tour in the smaller bus. You will not be disappointed!

• Nice trip to Milford Sound, but a weird incident

  We drove there and flew back. The driver was Connor, the pilot Joseph. The journeys and the Sound cruise were all great. The flight was awesome. But a strange incident at one of the smaller view points happened when we turned around and saw the bus suddenly leaving without us! It was unclear if this was intended to be funny( it wasn't ) or if the driver actually didn't notice that we were not back on the bus. I think he did not notice, he was not getting down from the driver seat at many of these locations and other than a cursory "All aboard"? was not really checking. After our incident, he started standing by the door and counting. In general, we found him knowledgeable but a bit disengaged. At stops he was unclear about how long the stop was for. "When everyone is back" was his comment. But that requires him to scrupulously check if everyone indeed was! Other than this, it was a glorious day, a small group, a smaller boat, quite cosy!

  Amazing trip! Best weather possible and guide Rees was amazing! A long day but well worth it and very well done by the company.

  We were blessed with a wonderful day. Early start; by 10 am the sun was peeping out. Inger was absolutely fantastic in every respect: managing the group; keeping us on time; managing expectations; humorous asides; knowledgeable commentary; prompting participation and engagement, in a light-hearted and friendly way. Likewise, the Mitre Peak staff on the boat were fantastic too. Awed by nature; charmed by our surroundings; in delightful company with our fellow-travellers; all in all a wonderful experience. Thank you Inger and Cheeky Kiwi! David and Jordana :-)
