Te Anau
Your tour starts in stunning idyllic town of Te Anau, after maybe meeting some of the local animals or wildlife we continue along the lake. Stopping at Te Anau Downs the starting point for the Milford Track you will be able to hear the stories and admire the views.
Eglinton Valley
Leaving Te Anau and entering Fiordland National Park we stop in Eglinton Valley. With views worthy of Lord of the Rings this valley follows the path of an ancient glacier through Fiordland, one of the first major attractions as you enter the park. It really sets the scene for a journey that only get more impressive the deeper you get.

5.00This tour was next level - every part of the day was so well planned and executed, it was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. Our guide for the day Jeremy was lovely and incredibly knowledgeable. We stopped at different places along the way and got great knowledge about the history of Milford Sound and the Fiordlands national park. The cruise itself was excellent and awe inspiring (also the packed lunch provided was very hearty, and they catered to my dietary requirements so well). Highly recommend!

5.00We had a great time on our trip to Milford Sound. Our coach driven by our guide, Steve, was clean and comfortable. Steve was very friendly and knowledgeable, stopping along the way at beautiful sites, providing interesting information and explaining the history of the area. The trip on the boat was spectacular. So many waterfalls and we saw seals and penguins. The lunch that was provided was very good too! I would definitely recommend this tour and travel with Cheeky Kiwi Travel again!

5.00We had the most wonderful guide Jeremy who stopped along the way to the most picturesque places pointing out places of interest which we would have missed otherwise. It was raining a lot on the day we went but Jeremy assured us that our tour would not be spoilt, in fact as a result of the rain we saw the most amazing waterfalls that one could ever imagine. Milford Sound tour was definitely a trip to remember and our small group guide was exceptional and our lunch was plentiful and tasty

5.00Cheeky Kiwi Travel provided an excellent trip to Milford Sound! The van was very clean and so comfortable for a long trip to Milford. We made several stops along the way and on the way home so we had the full experience. The boat was also very comfortable and the captain provided a lot of interesting information. We saw seals and penguins! The waterfalls were beautiful. The lunch that was provided was delicious! Our guide, Steve, made the trip even better. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure we didn’t miss a thing. I would definitely recommend Cheeky Kiwi for this trip and hope you are lucky enough to get Steve as your guide!

5.00It’s unforgettable, as the scenery is so dramatic and iconic. Our driver was Steve, and he knew pretty much everything about the area. It’s a long trip, but from Te Anau it’s not bad. We had mostly sunny weather. Nice boat ride, saw parrots, seals, and a little penguin. Definitely must do this trip. Fjordland is gorgeous.

5.00The Milford Sound cruise was great. It was a smaller vessel with way less passengers, which is the main reason I booked it. Just as good as the cruise, was the trip there and back. Our driver Steve is a local and knew just about everything about everything. Steve knew about the history of New Zealand’s creation, the Māori history on how they arrived there, the flora and fauna, and much more. We had multiple stops for photo opportunities, and the drive was safe and comfortable. This is highly recommended

5.00Tour guide Steve was a top guide! Extremely knowledgeable on everything from Te Anau to Milford Sound and in between - flora, fauna, biology, ecology and economy, fun facts too. 4.00Be aware weather can change very quickly so dress in layers. Return after cruise seemed guide was trying to fill in time by calling into places that were very similar to other stops.
