“The Princess Kaguya’s Glowing Garden in Sakuramachi Kumamoto” is being held at Sakuramachi Garden in Kumamoto City, overlooking Kumamoto Castle.

This exhibition is based on the motif of Princess Kaguya’s moon garden, which is the “aftermath” of the ancient Japanese tale of the Bamboo Cutter, and is an elegant moonlit exhibition decorated with contemporary art using bamboo lanterns.

“Bamboo lanterns” are made by cutting holes or slits in bamboo and inserting candles or LEDs inside to create light. It is art content combining history, culture, and art unique to Japan.

Come and experience a space of light enveloped in the overwhelming “Bamboo lanterns”.

This was comparable to other light shows. A drumming group was extremely talented. Viator’s description did not say that it was a night time event. I watched a dubbed movie and went to Starbucks to pass the time.
