Each tour is led by a passionate and knowledgeable guide who wants to share his love for the island with you! This private tour is the perfect opportunity to learn more about Puerto Rico. From the incredible culture of our Taino ancestors to the hidden gems of this beautiful island, on this tour, we will walk through muddy trails that are only 1.5 miles long! Trails lead to natural streams, rope jumping, beautiful waterfalls, and natural pools with crystal-clear water! For the last stop, you will enjoy authentic Puerto Rican gastronomy next to one of the most beautiful beaches on the island.

San Juan
To begin our amazing adventure, our guide will personally pick up the travelers at their accommodations in the metro area. Pickups can be at hotels, resorts, residences, or airbnbs anywhere in San Juan, Carolina, Loiza, Canovanas, Luquillo, Rio Grande, or Fajardo. The day before the excursion, the tour guide will be communicating with the travelers for the exact pick-up time and other details. This schedule goes from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. The earlier we start, the better, to avoid bigger tour groups that arrive from other companies.
El Yunque National Forest
Our certified tour guide will lead you through this beautiful hidden gem in the rainforest of "El Yunque." In this area, you will explore through the muddy clay trails and the lush greenery of the rainforest. We will arrive at Las Tinajas Falls depending on previously scheduled pick-up times by your personal tour guide. The hike is about 1.5 miles in total and will take about half an hour to arrive at the first bathing area. The guide will talk about the Taino life in the rainforest, the beautiful plants that grow around, and the incredible bathing areas hidden in paradise. In these bathing areas, you will be able to spend 1-2 hours swimming around, rope swinging into the deep rainwaters, sliding through a natural waterslide, and/or jumping from a 30-foot cliff! All these things are in one incredible area in Puerto Rico. We will stay here until 1-2 p.m. and then stop around at some of the nearby restaurants to grab a bite to eat!

5.00This tour exceeded our expectations! Ricky was a thoughtful, courteous and knowledgeable guide. All the other tour guides told us that Ricky is the best and we agree! We took our 7 year old son and this tour was perfect for him. Ricky took time with him to teach about the rainforest. We slid down the waterside, jumped off the ledge and swung on the rope swim. This was our favorite activity of our vacation!

5.00The highlight of our visit to Puerto Rico! Andrea, our guide, was outstanding. She set the tone for the day with her upbeat attitude and positive energy. Her knowledge of all things rainforest was quite impressive. Along our hike, she explained things clearly (watch out for pica-pica) and literally provided step-by-step directions on how to move safely through the river and over the various boulders. She was also a great photographer and cheerleader during water activities. And to top it all off, she took us to a wonderful place for lunch afterwards: Edelweiss in Luquillo, where we had the favorite meal of our entire visit to Puerto Rico. It was a great day, and we can't recommend Andrea highly enough!

5.00Mitchell was the best guide so far and we’ve done this tour before. He was extremely knowledgeable, tailored the hike to our interest, and made it fun. He also took us to eat the best lobster on the island! My son said, this was the best way to greet the New Year!! Mil gracias, Mitchell.

5.00Our trip was excellent! Our guide Andrea was so friendly and knowledgeable. This was definitely an active adventure and we loved it! So did our kids! It was so nice going with a small private group. We were able to jump, swing and slide into the cool rain forest pools as much as we liked. Great experience, amazing guide, highly recommend this tour!

5.00My family and I had an amazing safe time with Eduardo today. During the group we kept saying that we were the best group ever!! We really felt that we were with the best tour guide we witness not so nice behavior from other groups I highly recommend doing your research before booking any other tour than this one!!! Hoping to one day come back to do this tour.. best wishes to this tour group I hope they thrive!!

5.00This was the BEST and most incredible experience for touring the El Yunque rainforest! Our tour guide Shaly was amazing!! She had such great energy and enthusiasm in addition to her knowledge of the rainforest and area. Her communication with us prior to picking us up from the cruise port was so great and made things so easy. We were traveling with our 3 children (ages 11, 15, and 17), and she was so personable and friendly on the way to and from and throughout the tour. Shaly made our hike so much fun, safe, and knew all the best places for taking pictures!! She even took the pics and videos for us so we could take it all in and enjoy the experience. Our kids loved it all, especially the water slide and rock jumping! Afterwards, she took us to a great spot to experience delicious and authentic Puerto Rican cuisine, another big highlight for us! HIGHLY recommend this private tour and our wonderful guide!!!

5.00We had an amazing time on the Private El Yunque Rainforest Day Tour, and our experience was made even more incredible thanks to our guide, Brian! From the moment he picked us up, Brian was friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about the rainforest. He tailored the tour to our pace and interests, sharing fascinating facts about the flora, fauna, and history of El Yunque along the way. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, and Brian made sure we got to explore hidden gems and photo-worthy spots we never would’ve found on our own. He also made us feel safe and well taken care of throughout the entire day. This tour was the highlight of our trip, and we can’t recommend it enough—especially with Brian as your guide! Thank you for such a memorable and magical experience!

5.00This was the BEST part of our vacation! Mitchell was an AMAZING tour guide who not only showed us El Yunque’s rain forest, but also imbued our trip with so much compassion, encouragement, and adventure. It felt much more than a tour — it was really an unforgettable experience with my family that I’ll cherish and that I couldn’t have made possible without our tour guide’s commitment. I was nervous beforehand: we only had a 6.5 hour window to complete the tour to make it back aboard the cruise ship. Plus, I had four kids with me: 3 15-year-old boys (my twins and a friend’s son) and my 11-year-old daughter. But I didn’t need to worry! On pickup, Mitchell let us choose from several options. We wanted to see waterfalls and we wanted to swim, and we were willing to hike. He selected the route and it was challenging — but it was great to feel challenged and really connected to the forest around us. We made it to a place to swim and, surprisingly to me, Mitchell encouraged all of us to do the rock slide, to swim through a cave, and jump off cliffs. I’m not that adventurous — but our tour guide had gained our trust so we all felt encouraged to take (safe) risks. On the way back to the cruise port, we stopped at a restaurant Mitchell recommended (he called it Grandma’s) and it was delicious! The ribs, rice, chicken, beans, mangoes — excellent! Everyone on the tour — the kids, my husband, and me — agreed that it was by far the best part of our vacation. I would recommend this tour to anyone! It was so amazing to have a six-person tour. We each felt really seen and heard by our tour guide. At the next port, we took a tour with 20 other people and it just couldn’t compare to the day before. If you are looking for an incredible experience, book this tour! You won’t regret it!
