‘The home to baobab trees and elephants,’ as Tarangire is sometimes called, provides a spectacular destination for a memorable day-trip. Huge herds of elephant are a distinctive feature of Tarangire, but the grassland, swamps and floodplains found here are home to big cats, giraffe, baboons and hippo – plus many, many more species. Tree-climbing lions and rock pythons are other local specialties.
Your afternoon game drive will seek out the varied animal and birdlife at Tarangire, a Tanzanian hidden gem, before you return to Arusha.

We will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha and following a 2-3 hour drive, you will arrive to Tarangire National Park. The park has the highest density of elephants in Northern Tanzania and you can view these animals all year round in which the herds often can reach an impressive number of 300 animals. The Tarangire River has water all year round and during the dry season, between July and October, many animals from the surrounding areas come to the river for drinking. If you visit the park during the dry season, you will witness unforgettable natural wonders as you can observe wonderful creatures such as lions, giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeests and zebras as well as various types of antelopes and gazelles and with a little luck, you can also spot a python! Around lunchtime, you will stop at a suitable picnic place before the afternoon is dedicated to more wildlife watching. Before sunset, you will be taken back to your hotel in Arusha. They must be 2pax.

5.00Meeting Godson during our trip to Tanzania truly felt like a blessing from God. He wasn’t just an amazing guide for us, but also a real friend — like a relative we had over there. He genuinely cared about making our tour special and went out of his way to help us, even when he didn’t have to, like driving us home after the safari. If I ever visit Kenya or Tanzania again, the first thing I’ll do is call Godson. Thank you for everything — ASANTE!

5.00I cannot convey how incredible this tour was! We spent 3 days in Tarangire National Park and took THOUSANDS of photos. Godson was an amazing guide, knowing just where and when to take us to specific locations. He was also extremely patient and beyond knowledgeable; answering our constant barrage of questions. I highly recommend him and Martial Adventure Safaris for an unforgettable and spectacular safari experience.
