The Kicking Horse River in Golden, British Columbia provides the best white water rafting in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Our company has been providing river rafting trips on the Kicking Horse since 1982, as well as other beautiful rivers in this area.

Suitable for all physical fitness levels
Minimum age for Full Day Discovery and Half Day Express is 12 years old and 90 lbs (41 kg)
Guests under the age of 19 must have a parent or guardian present to sign their waiver
Please advise your lunch preference, if tour with lunch is selected (Full Day Discovery and Gentle Family Rafting): hamburger, veggie burger, breaded chicken burger or smokie (big hot dog); Please send us a message after checkout to advise the requested information
Please advise of any allergies or special dietary requirements at time of booking
We are on the Mountain Time zone (same as Alberta!)
Minimum age for Gentle Family Rafting is 7 years old and 50 lbs (23 kg)

Full Day Rafting - Discovery
Full Day Rafting - Discovery: Our most popular trip, our full day trip has you rafting 26 km of the Kicking Horse River and includes a riverside BBQ lunch
Duration: 5 hours: This trip starts at 9:15 am and finishes around 2:30 pm. Please arrive to our base by 9:00 am at the latest.

Half Day Rafting - Express
This trip is perfect for anyone who wants an exciting bit of whitewater, but is on a time crunch. It's our shortest trip and it gets right into the big stuff in the middle canyon. 3 hrs
Family Whitewater Rafting
Family Whitewater Rafting: A fast paced float on the Kicking Horse River. There are a few splashes and a BBQ lunch. Suitable for kids aged 7 and 50 lbs.
Duration: 4 hours: This trip starts at 9:15 am and finishes around 1:00 pm. Please arrive to our base by 9:00 am at the latest.

Afternoon Half Day Rafting
An awesome afternoon trip on the Kicking Horse River. If you have other activities you want to enjoy during the day, this is the perfect option to still experience the best whitewater in Golden, BC.

5.00Our 24 year old daughter Meghan died of cancer last year. Her bucket list included horse backriding and white water rafting. Glacier gave us memories as we honoured our sweet MEMO.

5.00Amazing rafting trip! We first signed up for the family tour (easier), but then we were offered to upgrade to the full tour and we're really happy we did! Guide Pete was an absolute blast and gave us the best laughs and amazing splashes! The lunch spot was really nice as well! Definitely recommend!

5.00From the welcome, to the orientation, the outfitting, the guides and the rafting, of course, our trip was absolutely incredible. The property in Golden was easy to find, and a spectacular drive from Banff. The outfitting from head to toe was easy and assuring. Our guide Carlos was the best. He has guided rafting adventures all over the world; cannot imagine anyone more experienced and comforting. Although the Kicking Horse may not be as wild in September as it is in June, the rapids we experienced did not disappoint. A category 4 in September? Bliss. The lunch stop exceeded all expectations. Delicious burger, chips, salad and granola. Hanging out and getting to know our fellow rafting mates was a real bonus. And the photos and videos made available to us when we returned were exceptional. Do not just think about rafting with Glacier Raft Company. Book early, as soon as you can. Glad we did.

5.00The whole experience was amazing! The rafting guide (nick) was very experienced and reassuring but also really fun. The rafting was such a buzz!! The day was tea well organised and the equipment was top notch!

5.00Outstanding raft trip. I have some experience whitewater rafting and I can tell you these guys provide an exciting and safe experience. Our guide Nikko was knowledgeable about the area and the river. He did a great job of getting everyone on the raft involved in the fun.

5.00We had such a fun time with this company on the kicking horse river. Took a group of 7 of us and we had the raft to ourselves which was nice. The rapids were actually really good compared to other tours I have done and our guide Dan was awesome!! We were laughing the whole time and they even helped us celebrate with a cold beer afterwards. The media packages they sell are also super cool, the guy gets some awesome shots. Highly recommend for anyone looking for something fun to do in the area!
