  We had a wonderful time. Mario was a great guide, and although we felt some stops were better than others, as a whole, we enjoyed every part of the food tour.

  Excellent, highly recommend, you are privileged to see venues not well know to the regular tourist scene, genuine italian. Our guide, Iliria was wonderful (apologies for not spelling correctly) she has historic insight that really added to the experience

  This was a great tour - interesting and delicious! Our guide, Ilaria, was wonderful! She shared so much history, as well as interesting stories. The food offerings were varied and delicious. My only suggestion is that the group size was a bit too large to be enjoyable for all. It was meant to be a group of 12, and was in fact a group of ten. Even this number made it difficult to hear all that Ilaria had to say, and difficult to maneuver in the first salumeria. Despite this, it was a very enjoyable tour, and a great experience. I highly recommend it.

  A wonderful tour to eat and learn about Italian food & Roman history. A beautiful evening walking and dining in Rome! Absolutely recommend!

  Mario was amazing and friendly. We enjoyed the tour and conversation. Food was very good and the historical education was interesting.

  Federica was a great tour guide showing us local food spots. A very knowledgable and entertaining woman, teaching us tips and tricks on what to look out for in true italian foods, resteraunts, and gelato and even taught us little italian words and phrases! She was great! I highly reccommend this tour to anyone wanting to try local food that arent tourist traps!!! She even made a lasting impression on a couple that previously took her tour 1 yr ago and they saw her as they passed by and had to share a kind word so that shows a lot for the type of guide she is! Great night over all!!!

  This is an excellent food tour, reasonably priced and our guide, Ilaria, was amazing! We started off with an Italian cheese and meat platter, accompanied by a chilled glass of pecorino, in a deli which was about a 5 minute walk from the meeting place. We then moved on to a fried fish shop/restaurant which we would never have tried or even noticed had we not been shown. Ilaria chatted to us the whole time, she explained all about the different types of food and restaurants in Rome, enlightened us about the history of the food and wine and answering every single question we asked her. Following on from the amazing fish, we walked across the Ponte Sisto bridge into the foodie area of Trastevere. Again, Ilaria giving us lots of info along the way, pointing out different restaurants and shops that were worth trying (we did try them later in the week and they were great!) We then had a 2 course meal in a traditional Roman Osteria - I couldn't finish mine as I was too full - with more delicious wine. The service was great and Ilaria talked us through the different dishes. Finally we popped next door for a gelato to finish the evening. Again, lot's of advice from our wonderful guide on how to differentiate between a good gelato outlet and a mediocre one (let's face it, you don't really get bad gelato in Rome). The tour was great value for money and not only would I recommend it highly, I'd do it all over again! It lasted about 3 - 4 hours, although I did lose track of time as I was enjoying myself so much. The walk was quite easy, mostly flat although it's central Rome so expect cobbles. We were told to expect no more than 12 people and there were only 3 of us, plus our guide.

  It was the icing on the cake of my one say Rome. Ending with food and good wine, is always a pleasure. The food chosen was excellent and the wine as well. After the first, establishment, the group created a great dynamic, which made the rest of the experience even more enjoyable. The tour guide was very friendly and contributed to the tour’s experience. I definitely recommend this tour as a must.
