Drive your own husky team through Lapland’s forests on a small-group experience designed to be active, personal, and authentic — even outside the winter season.
Operated by The Original Aurora Hunters®, Arctic GM is a family-run company with roots in Lapland dating back to the 1600s, combining local knowledge with a strong focus on quality and guest experience.
After pickup, you’ll arrive at a secluded husky farm on private land, away from busy tourist areas. Meet the energetic huskies and receive clear instructions before setting off on a 5–8 km self-driven safari using a wheeled cart designed for autumn conditions. Each cart is shared between two guests, with the option to switch drivers.
This is also the huskies’ training season, when they are most active after summer, offering a unique and engaging experience in nature.
After the ride, spend time with the dogs before relaxing by the fire with hot drinks and a traditional Lapland barbecue.

Rovaniemi
Begin your experience with pickup in Rovaniemi and transfer to a secluded husky farm located on private land, away from busy tourist areas. On arrival, you will meet the huskies and receive clear instructions from your guide on how to control the sled-style wheeled cart used during the autumn season. No prior experience is required. You will then set off on a self-driven husky safari, covering approximately 5–8 km through forest trails surrounded by autumn colors. Each cart is shared between two guests, with one driving and one sitting, and the option to switch roles during the ride. After the safari, spend time with the dogs, take photos, and learn more about their training and daily life. The experience continues around the fire, where you can warm up with hot drinks and enjoy a traditional Lapland barbecue. After the visit, return transfer to Rovaniemi. Total duration is approximately 3–4 hours.

5.00Amazing!!!! Simply the coolest event we have ever attended. We are dog lovers, and seeing everyone and their excitement was so cool. The handlers there were friendly and passionate as well. Words can’t describe how much I would recommend this.

5.00And liked the tour very much. The driver was very friendly and accommodating. The crew at Husky Farm was also very nice and told us a lot of information. We really enjoyed the trip and can recommend it to others. We made the trip in early October and were only 4 people, which was very pleasant.

5.00Our guide arrived on time at the agreed meeting point. Very friendly and nice. After an hour's drive we arrived at the Huskyfarm. There we were able to change and then the experience started. A guide showed us around the farm and explained everything. Later we drove an approximately 5 km round through the autumn forest. Later there was a small BBQ. All in all very nice. People were friendly and helpful throughout.
So much fun!

5.00This was my first tour I did with this company. Issak, our tour guide was great 😀 It was so much fun to do and a great way to enjoy the beautiful scenery. When the ride was finished, we were allowed to pet and cuddle the dogs, it made me all fuzzy inside. 😍 The group I did this tour with were a lot fun. 100% recommend this tour.
