08:00 : Tour guide pick you up at your hotel in Sapa Tower or Sapa Retreat Condotel . Start to trekking to Y Linh Ho village and then start hiking through the rice terraces along Muong Hoa. Y Linh Ho village is surrounded by the majestic Hoang Lien Son range, located in San Sa Ho commune, Sa Pa town, Lao Cai. Along the Muong Hoa valley, from Sapa town, visitors go in the direction of Lao Chai village. From here you can see the tiny Lao Chai San 2 bridge on the left hand side below. This bridge crosses the chasm connecting Lao Chai and Y Linh Ho. The pedestrians will cross this bridge and go to Y Linh Ho.

10h00 : Arrive Lao Chai village is also home to the Black H'mong and Red Dao ethnic groups. These are also two large villages in Sapa tourist area. Lao Chai - Ta Van village is located in the middle of Hoang Lien Son mountain range.

5.00It was an amazing experience! And the Highlight of our vietnam trip. The meal at a homestay at the end was delicious. I would highly recommend it. Amazing scenery, sometimes steep and slippery. Just a warning that you will be walking for at least 4 hours.

5.00Our guide, Zem, was incredibly friendly and attentive. The tour was spectacular, taking us through stunning spots among the rice fields and giving us insight into the tradition and culture of the different ethnic groups. She spoke perfect English and explained everything wonderfully — from the bamboo forests to the rice terraces. Truly an unforgettable experience.

5.00It was a great experience to walk through 3 ethnic villages and see how local communities make their living. Our guide also comes from one of those villages minorities so you can learn in detail about hardship of everyday life. She has told us a lot about rice cultivation. It’s all about walking (about 10 km) so you can admire beautiful scenery of rice fields, mountains and generally the greenery. We were lucky to have a good weather otherwise it gets muddy. And one more remark, you don’t have to buy anything from local women or children but if you do you may support them. Very interesting tour worth taking.

5.00Off the beaten tracks. Don't wear nice clothes and sandals. It's not in straight line so it's more walking than expected.
