If the weather allows for it, we can venture to the island of Inishlacken. Land on one of the white sandy beaches of this uninhabited island and step back in time as we discover what island life looks like. Please note that weather conditions will determine whether this island visit is possible.

5.00Fantastic atmosphere, Ciera was a really good, caring and entertaining instructor. It was really windy during our experience, my partner fell into the water during kayaking, she was really reassuring and helped him immediately. 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆

5.00I highly recommend this amazing and fun kayaking experience! Kiara was the perfect guide. She has great people and kayaking skills ensuring everyone felt confident and prepared to successfully participate. The scenery was magnificent - truly breathtaking! We paddled to Inishlacken and Kiara shared so many wonderful stories about this beautiful island. Our group of 7 became fast friends! I am so happy I got to experience something this outstanding. It was a highlight of my time in Galway (and Ireland).

5.00A big thank you to Ciara who recently took our family of four on a kayak around the bay. Ciara is a wonderful, bright, happy person who is very engaging, knowledgable and well equipped. We were thrilled when we got to see a seal while out on the water! Roundstone is an absolutely gorgeous and safe place to kayak, with views that are second to none. Ciara, we wish you well in your future endeavours and hope to see you again soon in the not to distant future!

5.00Our guide, Ciara, was friendly, knowledgeable and patient. An experience we won’t soon forget. The views from Roundstone bay were spectacular. Landing on the small island of Inishlanach add to our journey. We learned about the history of the island and collected a few beautiful sea shells. While kayaking Ciara pointed out a few local sights to see, the mountain views, the uniqueness of the local beaches and provided information about the area of Roundstone and Connemara. When we landed back on shore, Ciara provided information on a local place to grab a bite to eat and suggested other places of interest she thought we would enjoy during our vacation. I highly recommend this unique experience during your vacation to the Emerald Isle.

5.00We had a great kayaking trip. The area is really beautiful and Ciara provided us with interesting information about the wildlife of the sea and the island as well as its history. The kayaks were really good to handle and Ciara gave us very useful tips on how to paddle. Highly recommend!

5.00My boyfriend and I wanted an adventurous activity to do in Connemara and this was absolutely amazing! Ciara was a great trip leader and really personable. We had so much fun kayaking around the island; she and the other instructor, Liam, taught us interesting facts about the ocean, Ireland and some history of the area we were specifically in. I highly recommend this experience for anyone—regardless of skill level— who’s looking for an exciting day trip.

5.00The best way to really understand the stunning beauty of the Connemara beaches is to view them from the sea. I had the pleasure of joining a tour with Ciara recently, where we got to explore the deserted beach of Inishlacken, the rugged coastline of Inis Ní and take in the views back toward Roundstone and Gurteen Bay. The view was spectacular, and the landscape like something from a painting. Ciara’s conversation was the perfect addition to understand the history of the area, and to feel safe and secure in the hands of a professional when out in the open water. We even got a cheeky free lunch, albeit it was seaweed, though it’s oddly delicious!! Cannot recommend highly enough, you haven’t experienced Connemara until you’ve seen it from the sea!!
